Hey All,

Just curious as to how many of you out there have made life-long friendships with other Prowler owners? The Prowler owners typical tend to be a unique bread of fun-loving friendly people. I don't see other car owners making these types of connections in other car clubs (i.e. Corvette, Viper, Porsche and etc). Or am I wrong?

Brian, for me personally I have made friends not only through POA but also through AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America). In both cases I have found the individuals that I have met to be similar all though the AACA members tend to be a little more restrictive and "hard line" about people that modify vehicles. I am sure that the type of individuals that are in POA are not limited to this organization. I find "car people" in general to be a breed apart from others.

I've made some truly great friends both in the POA and also in the Antique Motorcycle Club of America. To me, the friends I've made here is the best part about owning this car.

You mean these friendships are going to last THAT long?
(I sure hope so!) I guess the answer to your question
would be a definite "YES, I have..."

We have made some good friends through the PT Cruiser Club, but then again the PT is first cousin to the Prowler! (My wife has a PT, which she loves).

I love math questions.

Answer = NONE (there's not a lot of 7-year olds out there driving Prowlers).

I never thought I would plan my vacation destinations and even some of my business trips that are flexible around my car. There are several friendships that I believe go past the car or meeting at POA events.

One of the nice things is being able to travel out of town for work and meet someone from POA for dinner, drinks, or join in an event. It sure makes traveling a lot more interesting.

I hope to keep meeting with POA "friends" for a long time in the future.

Well this Canuck can't say enough about the friends he's made "For Life I hope" Sometimes as we make our way down the path of life we have the opportunity, privilege or whatever it may be called of meeting men or women that from the first moment you talk with them on the phone then later in person that you know you've made a friend or friends as we all hope it will be for life, some will become very close friends you will share personal stories with, others just plain good friends you enjoy seeing and hearing from. There is a big difference between these kinds of friends but different in a good way. I'm sure each of you that have traveled to one of the meets and enjoyed the Comradery of those there will know what I'm talking about. I know I've met and made some friends I call for life.

Never has a group of people come together like this group at least in my life experiences that help and care for and send their best wishes or to send their prayers to someone who has a sick family member or friend.
That's what owning a Prowler has done for me in my life

PK

Not just friends through the POA but extended family. For example : Someone asked me at the last event (PT Cruisers Toys for Tots) we attended, if Gordon AKA Superkat and I were brothers. Maybe we are not brothers by birth, but brothers for sure.

Owning my cats, being on this board and attending the great events we've had has given Bob and I an opportunity to meet some of the best people and as a result, we've made many, many friends. Hopefully, these will be life-long friendships. We've found a great diversity in the people who own these cars and participate in this group, but for the most part, everyone has been friendly and share the same passion for this car that we do. We've had a blast on all the events we've gone to and we always look forward to the next one, so we can see our friends again. I also appreciate this website as a means to maintain the friendships and comraderie in between the times we actually get to see everyone! I hope all of this continues for a very long time.

To be honest with you, I'm not to the "life long" level YET.

I say YET, because if the months and years are like the last 7 months since I've joined this site, I'm sure I'll be at that level.

I haven't had the opportunity to attend an event yet, but I'm sure looking forward to "the Smokies" this fall. I really want to see everyone's rides and what you all have done to personalize them, but what I'm really looking forward to is meeting as many of you that I can who have warmly welcomed and assisted this 'ol Carolina redneck!

I haven't been in the Prowler Club long enough to develop this kind of friendship but am sure I will. Most car clubs I have belonged to, I have made lasting friendships. The first car club was the MG car club when I owned an MG TC, 40 years ago, and I still have close friends that I still get together with, and even allow them to drive my Kat.

We have already made several lifelong friends. I won't name names because I don't want them to deny it! lol Seriously, the best part of owning this wonderful car has been the people we have met. Most of them are the kind of people that I would want as lifelong friends and the rest we probably don't know well enough yet. Really everyone we have met through POA have been great folks. Like Jerry eluded to it's just a matter of spending enough time to develope that kind of friendship and I'm sure Jerry is one of my future friends. By the way, Dave Mills I feel that way about you too whether you like it or not!lol We already plan our summers around our Kat and the people we've met and we get together with several of these people from time to time whether we are in the Prowler or not. We are so glad we bought this car!
