Always posts bragging about something ... oh well ... brought up that way, what can ya do, huh? But to be positive ... check with Cytech or better yet, do a search for previous posts as there have been many on this subject young lad. Call Darren at Cytech (Double Park) and tell him Ray sent you ... yes, even you childrock, and he can arrange delivery AND set up for just a few bucks more. I am very satisfied with their product and their support makes the difference you pay worth every penny. Good luck ... |

Kid, This is just what you're looking for http://www.aresco.org/new_page_1.htm , the price of $2,995 includes installing. You can't go wrong with one of these lifts, there out of Pontiac which makes it close to you also. Let me know how it works out for you. Al |

I looked at these http://www.crocotile.com/ but they have holes in them. So the question I had is where does all the dirt and oil go? |

I went with the DoublePark and love it. Mike Krehel sold me on them as he has 4-5 of them. They deliver to your front door and two guys can set it up easily in 1-2 hours (comes with complete instructions). I seem to remember when I was looking at theirs that and wondering if it would fit, etc., their site had schematics with all the dimensions. All I had to do was use a tape measure in the garage and see if it would fit. It did with no modification anywhere. Good Luck. |

Al and YF: Thanks for the info. Al, you also mentioned the lift made by Aresco. Their pricing appears to be quite a bit less. Are you aware of the difference between the two lifts? Also, I am attempting to put this in a typical 2 car residential garage. Do you know if I will be able to park an additional car next to the lift with the space left over? The dimensions appear to be two wide for this, but I would like to know if the posts can be closer together than what they show. Thanks for the help. Kimo |

Originally had my one Cytech (DoublePark)lift in a standard 2 car garage, ceiling height was 9'8" and what I would call standard width ... worked out fine .. it's all in positioning the lift and aligning the ramps with the door opening to give you room to get car in along side of lift. Don't be fooled by cheap prices ... that's usually what you get in terms of quality and support ... I too have been VERY happy with my two lifts now and their delivery, set-up and follow through. And there is NO need for any special flooring, tiles or to bolth the lift to the floor ... that's the beauty, it is portabale and can move with you. Good luck Kimo !!! |

quote: Kimo, I posted about the Aresco lift for Kid Rock because it's a good deal if you live here, I can't say what's all involved with shipping outside Michigan. I can't tell you the difference between the Aresco and DoublePark lift but I can tell you the Aresco lift is built right. Ray, The old saying you get what you pay for isn't always true, sometimes by shopping around you can get more for less $$$. |

Al, are you trying to say that people that paid $ 80,000 for their cats did not get a better car than the ones who paid $ 36,000?? Hard to believe. lol |

quote: Well, forgive my curiosity, but what exactly does "it's built right" mean? Right cause it is in Michigan and delivery is close? Do your due dilegence and then say you don;t get what you pay for ... and for Ed to use a rediculous comparisson as an inflated market-entry price on a unique car as an example of higher cost "usually" equating to better quality ... just shows ignorance or a desire to get a rise and reply out of me ... which it did ... so there, Mr Ed ... =) Peace Out |

quote: Ray, I'm only saying it's a well built lift, the lift it's self is made in Texas so it's nothing to do about Michigan. I'm not sure what you're getting at with your remarks toward me but I'm not like some other's here, anytime you want to meet let me know. |

Ray, if I was really trying to get a rise out of you I would have mentioned Sassy's name. Then it would come within the hour. Peace back to you. Why is it a ridiculous comparison? Because it made you look bad? It is a perfect example of shopping around. A higher price does not automatically mean higher quality. Sorry we disagree. |

Ray, thanks for the info, but we are not bragging. Thanks all for the answers. I feel that if a pro came and installed it, it would be better. Anyone know of anyone on in southern MI that does this. Kid Rock, |

quote: Ed, And here I thought the hatchet had been buried ... you my friend are confused with comparing an exact item (car with two different price tags) to two products from two different competing sources. In my explanation shopping around may well uncover cheaper prices, but also inferior construction, components, customer service, the list goes on... If you truley just shop by price, you must really be cheap and not care about quality. Now I will give you this as well ... every now and then, a low price does mean poor quality, just as spending the most does not gurantee the best ... a fool and his money, along with buyer beware are two philosophies I was taught early and live by whenever possible ... good one on mentioneing "the name" too .. that was funny! Al: The Aresco lift now comes with free shipping @ 2995.00. I live near Reno, NV so that seems like a very good deal for a product that seems to work well. Thanks This message has been edited by Kimo on 02-02-2003 at 09:33 AM |

Thanks Does anyone know if Cytech has installers around the country. My mom is having one of her last surgeries the end of the month and we want to surprise her.

Q: Who installs the DP-7 lift? A: The DP-7 lift is usually installed by the customer who purchased the lift with the help of some friends or aquantinances. Cytech has installers around the United States and you can ask for a specific quote to have your lift installed if you prefer. The installation charges varies depending on the installer and how how far the installer has to travel. Got this off their site,,, |
