Racer X. Call Fred John at Causeway Chrysler $100 over cost on Chrysler Extended warrantry for any Chrysler product. Ph 800-259-5337 or 985-892-9165 Covington, LA There are lots of options on warranty. Maxi Care vs Added care ... Costs vary depending what year you purchase the warranty in Also, some Prowlers since 4th qtr of 2001 come with extended power train warranty for 7 years and 70K miles or something. So, the costs would be lower for these cars...

After reading about the extended warrantee I asked my dealer for pricing. He asked me how many miles he thought I would drive per year and I said about 3000 - 5000. Here are the prices he quoted for Maximum Care (the best): $100 deductible is $1050.00 And because I bought the car from him he offered an additional 25%. I haven't bought it yet but will soon. Check around and let's make a deal. (02) Candy |

Normally I don't solicit business by message forums, but I'm a ProwlerOnline contributor and member and think I can help you on this... I have a business starting up February 1st selling extended warranties for exotics only. www.exoticwarranty.com is the under construction website for the company. My offer to you, is to find the best price on the warranty, and we'll take $100 off that price for the same years/mileage term. You'll find that our coverage is actually better and doesn't require you to go to a Chrysler dealer for your service. We also cover addon parts such as Superchargers/Nitrous malfunctions for a small fee. Since we already own the underwriting company, this makes our warranties fairly inexpensive since two companies aren't taking profits like normal, only one is. Feel free to contact me at 585-749-3338 if you have any questions. After February you will see us as a ProwlerOnline sponsor as well, I have to get in contact with the site owner for that very shortly........ Cordially, -Ben |

Rx, I find the most valuable part of the Chrysler extended warranty is the "First Day Rental Option". It's a separate contract add-on that probably paid for my whole contract using this one feature, and I'm not even out of the 3-year/36000 mile new car warranty. It not only covers rental during warranty work, but most maintenance and repair as well (must be at a Chrysler dealer). STRONGLY suggest you look into it. -GRROWL |

Racer X, Hope you have better luck with Causeway than I have. Spoke to Fred twice last week, both times he said he would check on price and call back. After 3 additional calls leaving messages, still haven't heard back from him. I know others have been pleased with the service from Causeway, and maybe their just busy. Still figure if you say you'll call back in a few hours, you should follow through. |

I also found it impossible to contact Fred,,,or have him return my calls,,,during December when I was trying to up my existing 7/50,000 to 7/75,000 miles of coverage. During a ten day period I called him 15 + times and left my phone # several times - nothing. I think the former guy there, Bob, must have been much better to contact. Maybe there is a good reason why Fred isn't getting back to everyone??? I bought my extended warranty when my cat was 51 weeks old, and I think it was $925 for 7 year/ 50,000 mile no deductible. Hope that helps. |

Smelly Cat, I can understand him not returning your phone call, but just don't understand not calling a nice guy like me back! Fred did call me this morning and gave me a quote on 7 year, 75,000 mile max care. Supposed to send info out in the morning. Said he was calling the other owners also. He said they let a few people go, and he is trying to do the work of 3 so he is way behind in things. Thanks Laddie, Not sure, but think you had something to do with the call this morning. |

For all you Prowler and Chrysler owners out there...I just purchased the MX750K maxiplan plan (7yrs/50,000mi./$100 deductible)from my dealer in New Jersey. The FI Manager is very aggressive and gave me a great deal! You can call Rich Periera at (973)762-9300 for any quotes. He will be posting soon to introduce himself. I live in Florida now and they don't discount as other states do. Give Rich a call if you need any Service Contracts. Rex |

I bough second yellow Kat on 5/17/02 it came with 7/100000 with $100.00 deductible at no charge. I belive my warranty cover everything excepted the thing state on the policy are: > Rapier or replacement of any component cover by the vehicle's factory warranty recall campaigns or repair made under "goodwill policy". > Repair to any vehicle where the odometer (mileage)has been stopped or altered/or vehicle's actual mileage cannot be readily determined. >Maintenance service specified in the owner's manual and the parts use in the connection with service such as engine oil, lubricant, filters, spark plugs, ignition cables, wheel balancing and so on. Anyone know about this warranty? |

JUST JP, I did read both side of the warranty, it's covered water pump all seal, injector and ect. Not cover electrical system or other some minor thing. I think that good enough for me. |

RACER X, To my knowledge, Chrysler does not offer any "bumper-to-bumper" extended warrantees. Max-Care will cover most biggies, but is definitely NOT bumper-to-bumper like the original 3/36 (specifically excludes wheels, for instance). Suggest reading any warrantee before committing so you know what you're getting. THE BEST ADD-ON to Max-Care is the First-Day Rental Coverage - STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT - applies to warrantee work as well as regular maintenance. -GRROWL |
