Does anyone know the skinny on incentives for new Prowlers? I contacted a dealer today and their response was . . . "Thank you for your inquiry about the 2002 Chrysler Prowler. The incentives are only on Plymouth Prowlers. My 2002 Chrysler Prowler has no incentives." Is this true? I searched the POA and found conflicting information. I had thought incentives applied to Chrysler Prowlers as well. Thanks for any insight. |

When DaimlerChrysler terminated the Plymouth franchise, they were obligated to buy back any Plymouth brand vehicles from the dealers. DC decided they did not want to buy back the Prowlers and offered the dealer an incentive to keep the vehicles and sell them themselves. This incentive could be passed along to the consumer upon purchase. Because it was only the Plymouth brand terminated, this incentive was only offered on Plymouth Prowler buy-backs and not the Chrysler Prowlers. In addition, for the last two years, DC has offered its employees a "Friends and Family" program, whereby all employees are offered 4 program certificates. These certificates allow a "friend or family" member of the employee to purchase or lease a vehicle at a cost of 1% under the dealer invoice (not the msrp), plus about a $25 processing fee. The dealers are not obligated to honor this program. This program certificate does apply to Chrysler Prowlers, but not Plymouth Prowlers. Last year, Bob handed out 29 of these certificates to other Prowler owners for purchase of other Chrysler products. Some were used to purchase Prowlers. I'm not sure of this year's total that we've handed out, but it was well into the 20's. Hope this clarifies it for you! |

Thank you very much for the clarification. Looks like if I want to trade in my '99 on a new one I'll be looking for another Plymouth! Thanks again . . . . |

Racer X....I have personally seen a MH blue advertised at $36K (in Maple Shade, NJ) and saw a local silver drop from $55K to $36K....Almost bought one of those. Ended up with Black Tie for more than that, but oh well... |
