Hey all,

Well, my Prowler search is continuing. I have located a blue Mulholland Edition 2001 Prowler at a dealer near my hometown. The dealer has said that they are willing to “deal” on it since it has sat there for so long. I was wondering what would be a good deal to get this car for and what is the max I should pay? It is brand new with no miles and of course comes with full factory warranty. I am still looking for orange, but if this dealer is willing to make a good deal to move this Prowler out the door, I like the blue also. So, I’m calling on all you experts here on the POA forums to help me out so I don’t pay too much. Thanks in advance.

Start at mid 30's and go as high as you feel comfortable. anything in the 38 or less range would be good deal in my opinion for new, no mile with full warranty. BUT GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING BEFORE YOU SIGH THE DEAL.

It's worth twice as much as you're going to have to pay to get it. Right now, there are very few for sale on E-Bay, but that's always a good place to go to get a feel for what they are going for. It appears that a new one from a dealer with full warranty might be had for somewhere between $35-45K. A very low mileage used one can be had for somewhere between $30-35K, depending on condition.

Good Luck,

A dealer here has one that he wants $39,000 for I offered $34,000 for the car 2 weeks ago he has since called me 3 times to see if I would up my offer. I am thinking maybe $36,500 is the money.

Go for it, Bob!

Then I can come up and see it for myself.

If you would, e-mail me or PM me with color, dealer, etc.

Park Jeep, Mulholland with like 25 miles on it. the car is perfect. I just phoned him back with my offer bumped to $36,000 and he told me they had just turned down an offer of $38,500 from another dealer, my reply was take the money and run.

We have a Blue and it is like Black and needs a lot of care keeping it cleaned.
Orange on the other hand does not show the dirt as much.

I would agree with wildcat, if you can get it for less than $38K I would say you got a good deal.

You might want to email CJ and see if Bob can locate an Orange somewhere in your neck of the woods.

Good luck.

I picked up my 2001 Mulholland in October from a dealer here in the DFW area, and I paid $34,900 for it. Brand New no miles full warranty...

Let me know, and I'll give you their number.

Boost Me,

Sticker is like ~46,000 Can't recall Mullholland extra cost
Invoice is like ~43,000
I beleive holdback is 3% (When did Edmunds stop carring this info?)
And the direct to dealer rebate on a 2001 is I beelive $5000 - That's been kicked around on several posts and i beleive that to be true

So that puts dealer cost at around 37,000.

Now if you are talking to the one in Jasper, i can tell you they wouldn't go below $42k in May.

Best of luck

I'm not sure but I thought that Chrysler had a $6500 rebate on all unsold prowlers.... but I'm with Ron 35k is good number and as for " very few for sale on E-Bay" right this minute there may be about only seven listed but few weeks ago that had a ton listed and I also don't think that all where sold also you might want to check out www.autotrader.com i just looked and they had over 230 listed...

You are right David, it flucuates quite a bit. Today only 7, tomorrow 107, two weeks later, only 20.

Originally, I was looking at the Mulholland because it was the color I could get the best deals on. Not sure why or why so many new ones seem to be languishing at dealers. I found that you could get new ones (with a little looking) for $35K brand new.

I ended up buying a new 2002 yellow for $38K instead.
