We also have the Rear Pan on order, so Norm has already removed the bumpers
and waiting for the new one to arrive before removing the old rear pan.

Pumpkin, The car looks Great! I really like those sill and carpet guards. Did you get those from Real Rod? Do you mind telling me how much for the guards? Thanks

Yes, they were $175 for both. They were on Real Rods xmas special, check with Real Rod and see if the special is still on.

It was made to order from Pep Boys, auto zone, checkers. We are on a fix income so it was either a good $8.00 supper or the $8.00 grill. we took the latter.

All we did was to buy some chrome door trim moulding from PepBoys (or try Checker, AutoZone, etc). Remove the grille and cut the moulding to size and apply to the grille. It wouldn't be a bad idea to clean surface with alcohol to be sure of a clean surface for the trim to adhere to. Hope this helps.

Duane, apply the chrome edge guard when it is warm or use a hair dryer to warm it up and make it more pliable.

Would love to get one, but have two issues to resolve. First, NM uses the bottom right corner for renewal stickers and second, not sure if they will fit in the area of our new rear pan - Bob - Real Rod, can you help on this?

With the pan you ordered the Lic. Frame has a light in it for the plate. You could use the POA frame but you may run the risk of getting pulled over at night for not having the plate lighted ( its the law here ).

Norm - Gary Archer & I installed a Real Rod rear pan in about two hours including removing the bumpers. He had suggested we remove the trruck lid to have easier access to the bolts holding the factory pan on, but we had just enough clearance to leave the lid on. You're gonna love the new look!

Thanks for the info. Took the bumpers off in a jiffy and removed all the bolts from the factory pan with no problem. Waiting for rear pan now. Real Rod will try to get the rear pan out for xmas but they won't send it out unless its perfect and I like that. May take the trunk lid off any way. Well, if it is off I could chrome the hinges, just a thought. Xmas gift for my wife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
