Thanks Jan, CJ, and Rich - I wasn't going to say a word about it, as some of our group thought my head got bigger when they called my car's number as an award winner. There were 311 cars at the show, and they presented 10 class winners. Jan, at first I thought it was the graphic flames and the wheels that stood out,,,,,after second thought, I think it was the GMC Denali headrest inserts, lol. Thanks for the thought! AC |

Thanks to all who posted! I was shocked when they read out my entry number over the speakers. I've got along ways to go before being an award winner,,,,as I see it. I go to the car shows for the friendships that are created, and to view the hard work and effort that car people put into their vehicles. I actually felt bad at the time,,,,as a restored '34 Ford sedan didn't get an award and I had voted it the best car in the show. Proves you never know what the judges are looking for. BTW Dawn - maybe that picture of you in the "wet t-shirt contest" sitting on my dash was the deciding factor |
