This morning there are 599 unsold Prowlers. Many of these remaining cars have miles on them and some aren't for sale. We try to keep a list of the remaining cars by color and location. If anyone is looking for a particular color...contact CJ. |

Wow....That's not many left. It will be interesting to see what the value of them will do when all the new ones are gone. ------------------ |

Although 599 is not a huge number in terms of how many cars are sold in the U S, it seems that very few new Prowlers have been sold recently. I wonder how many of the dealers REALLY are trying to sell their Prowlers? On the otherhand, there have been more than one car advertised in the classifieds that have had a hard time selling. I am just glad we have ours! |

quote: Gary, don't bet the farm that they are going to go up when these are gone. If anything, I suspect the prices will still be in a downward trend for the next few years. Don't beleive me? Then why do dealers still have 600 new ones? Why haven't speculators bought them all up to make a profit? Why are dealers seriously lowering prices to move them? None of that fits with a car that is going to go up in value on the day the last one is sold. I recently posted that a dealer has a brand new Black-Tie (about one of the rarest Prowlers made) with only 9 miles on the OD and an asking price of only $35K. This is a new car that has never been titled. To date, there are no takers on it. |

quote: I can explain why 3 of them aren't sold yet........a dealer in my home town has 3 setting in a storage building on the car lot. He want's $55,000.00 each, there not floorplaned, so he doesn't care if they sell today or next year. Maybe you could call him a speculator, or call him crazy, who knows. Like Marty, doesn't really matter what it's worth down the road, I have mine, and drive it every chance I get!

quote: I suspect he was one of the bums that was originally asking $20-50K over sticker (and getting it) and now that reality has kicked in, he can't understand it. It may be worth $55K again but, not for a long time. |

I don't think so, one was there's, they bought 2 others from other dealerships, haven't sold one yet. The owner of the dealership is a real JERK. Tried to buy mine there, he wouldn't budge. Went to a dealership 15 miles away, they had the same $10,000.00 mark-up, I asked them if they were crazy, they said no, just wanted to find out if I was, we then came to a good deal. Drove it to the other dealership showed it to him, he didn't even flinch! ------------------ |

Also here in SoCal same deal, all dealers markup the price. Im so happy I have a Candyred Prowler and Prowler Candyred trailer too. I got mine from a dealer in Ohio that I found in Autoweek. Back in Feb. 2002 43K for a Candyred was a deal to me. God is good!!! |
