Sometimes you just cannot avoid em... so what did I do>? I hit TWO, 2 miles apart, one going down each side! Paint shop had to take her apart! I'm having the rear bumpers painted silver, with some Black Chrome Shimmer's from Jay.. I'll post pics when she is done. ------------------ |

That's too bad, Todd. At least you still two kats to choose from when you go for a drive. The silver bumpers will look good. What are you doing to the taillights? I noticed they were removed from the fenders. Marty |

Todd: I'm sure she'll look great in no time. The tread damage just gave you a chance/excuse to do more mods to the Black Tie. You really have some great looking Kats! The pics you posted on the orange one were awesome! |

Todd - You have to drive more careful! I've heard there are lots of used rubbers all over the CA freeway system |

Too Bad Todd tough pictures to see... I almost hit one about a month or so ago & did everything I could to avoid it, went onto the shoulder then had to cross over two lanes. Just made it through too, I'm glad I did after I see your pictures... Sorry to hear about the luck. Did the treads cause any other damage under the Kat? Let us know how well they match the silver... Bumpers should look good... You might not even need the shimmers (not a plug against you JayMan the text in CJ's bumpers stood out really nice because of the paint. Really nice shadows & highlights... The words looked even deeper... Not that the shimmers won't add to it even more... Looks like your Glass guy is blessing the nose in the third picture Best of luck with her, I am sure it will all work out in the end... WildBill |

Marty, got a set of grey bumpers being painted silver. Thanks Randy, got lots of plans for the orange and black! Lol AC, but I thought you were the one leaving em here! I've got a couple of drips that seem to have gone away. Still got to pick her up and see exactly whats up. |

I hit one of those truck tread in Nebraska. It didn't hurt the Cat but cracked the fender on the trailer and tore the fender clips off the bra. I had the bra repaired but not the fender. The bra covers the crack and I never take if off anyway, ecxept for an ocassional cleaning underneath. |

Todd - I have seen silver rear bumpers on a silver and they really look good. It's interesting that you take a different approach from your Orange without rea bumpers. My ???? earlier in this thread was about the taillights. Are you painting or customizing them? I noted they were removed from the car. |

Marty, taking a set of grey bumpers and painting those silver. Trying to modify this Kat to look different and IMHO better then stock, without going to far away from stock. I have the other two for the wild mods (not even close to done yet!) Thanks for the compliments everyone! |

o, lol, they took them out to redo the paint. Gotta blend it all in yaknow. Don, it wasn't the black, it was the Black Tie (black and silver) that hit the treads. |

Todd, Sorry to hear of your mishap. I'm sure she'll be OK in the end. From your pictures it looked like the fenders were left undamaged. I'm surprised the truck treads didn't at least tear off the mud flaps. Was there any other damage besides the side panels? |

After she finally comes back from the paint shop, maybe today?? *hopes* off to the dealership she goes. Then we'll pick her up and have a detailed check underneath her and see. |
