Here's an Idea for Bob from Real-Rod to use the lower part of his weekender and add this for all the golfers out there.....

I had a piece at Woodward 2 years ago and did not get any takers that would haul 2 bags upright. I send it out to my metal guy just before CTC to make a couple of changes and get a price. If enough people want it I will make it if not I guess I will have the only one. |

I have plans to do a similar setup once my hitch comes back from being chromed. I plan on using a PT luggage rack and a staff (large size) hard shell travel golf bag cover strapped to the rack with bungee cords. I figure the hard composite shell will be waterproof and even when I am traveling without my clubs, it can act as a piece of luggage. The cover even has wheels for easy moving. I hope this works. Just a little southern redneck engineering. If all works as planned, I'll post pictures. If not, I'll simply stay quiet for once. |

Don, I have a couple upright club carriers that fit into the receiver. I've always wanted to get a weekender and lengthen it a bit to fit my clubs but I haven't found anyone to do the modification. I also talked to Bob about it a couple of years ago but it wasn't a flyer. I would be very interested if anyone can do this mod. I saw a guy with an old Model A pulling a club carrier that had a single wheels attached (about 8 or 10 inch wheel) to the end of the carrier so it rolled behind his car. Looked hilarious! ------------------ |
