Rebecca & I want to thank Bob & CJ for all their assistance in making sure we were able to limp home from Cruising the Coast with a "less than perfect" engine. Bob spent an hour changing the spark plugs instead of watching CJ race and then they helped by pulling our trailer from the dragstrip in Louisiana back to Mississippi. On Sunday they trailed along with us for 12 hours all the way back to Louisville in case we needed to put our car on their trailer. That was most generous of you. Others have witnessed and benefited from your generosity in the past. Once again you both stepped in to help and we just wanted to say thanks. Marty & Rebecca |

Marty certainly speaks for both of us on this one, but I wanted to add my personal thank you. We sincerely appreciate you going out of your way to help us! As Marty said, we know you guys have gone out of your way to help ny others, but being on the receiving end of the assistance gives us a greater appreciation of your dedication to POA. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Rebecca This message has been edited by Reba-Cat on 10-14-2002 at 10:12 AM |

Marty and Rebecca...........we were very happy to be able to help out as back-up!! I'm just glad that the cat was able to make it home on it's own!!! We were also glad to be able to spend more time visiting with you than we've had in the past. Also want to say "Thank You" again for offering us a place to stay for the night. We appreciate that more than you know. Oh yeah.........Rebecca........maybe next year I can persuade you to do some racing like I did with Karen and Linda..........we can have our own Ladies Division racing bracket!!! |

Uh, CJ - Reba would have needed a car to do that and I kinda, well.....screwed it up on the first run of the day. Hopefully by next year our KAT will be running good and she can join in the fun. |

Marty Did Bob have the sign I had made for him? Official POA Tow Vehicle Those two have rescued, detailed, repaired so many friends cars it should be mandatory that they attend every event. Oh by the way, how'd you like the new side panels. I get alot of comments on mine. |

Marc - you know, they did NOT have to tow the car. Bob helped out under he hood at the track while CJ raced. Does that mean she should have stopped and detailed my car then or does she owe me one? |

Marc, Bob didn't bring the sign..........didn't want to jinx anything, but I guess maybe we should start carrying it with us to all the events!!! Hey.........Bob may have changed the spark plugs, but I was too busy tryin' to kick a$$ on the race track (the key word here is "tryin'" lol) At least I provided moral support the rest of the weekend....and don't forget I towed your trailer for you!!! The only reason you didn't get the CJ Detail Treatment on your cat was because you keep yours clean.........unlike Mr. Scarbeary and Alleycat! Rebecca I wished you would have said something you could have run my car down the track. As far as the support Bob & CJ give everyone at events, on line or over the phone and the fact when we get a group of our cars together the attention we bring to the DC brand, DC should give Bob & CJ a LARGE truck and trailer to bring to the events with a support staff ( that might turn into work ), Thanks as always from me. CJ you clean other peoples cars? how come I never get the offer? |

Marty, What's the status on your car? Is it OK? Sorry to hear you had trouble, but sounds like you had a great support crew. Mike |

quote: CJ, maybe you could give me a lesson.....until now (you all inspired me, ladies that is)I was far too hesitant to race! (I'm not really too much of a "scaredy cat" as I've been brave enough to do several things such as "bungee jump")...but as Marty (5-cylinder Usher) said, he ruined my chances of taking a shot at dragging this time. I'll tell you, though, that I would definitely not kick in the nitrous, not my "cup-of-tea" so-to-speak. Thanks again for all your help, glad to see you made it home ok. See you next time!! Rebecca |

Rebecca............it's not much different than flooring it on the freeway!!! The Christmas tree just takes a little practice.........nothing to it. First time you try it..........you'll be hooked!! Drag racing takes a lot less guts than bungee jumping..........I won't even try that!! No thanks! This message has been edited by CJ on 10-17-2002 at 12:23 AM |
