Hi Gang !
I'm thinking of trading in my 01 vette convertible for a another prowler. Does anybody know a dealer that might take my vette in trade. I would be interested in a Candy Red or woodward edition. Thanks in advance for your help.

I sold my 2002 rag top Vette to a dealer, I called 5 Chevy dealers then went with the best price. Or you could give Corvette Mike a call, he buys Vettes out right www. corvettemike.com . Hes in Boston and Orange County in So. California. 714-630-0700 Anaheim CA he paids good money for good looking low miles Vettes. He travels all over the Country looking for Corvettes. I have a Candyred Prowler, theres a dealer in Hemet Ca 909-652-2200, that has one and it has a painted flame job. Ask for Barry Jr, hes the owner brother and there ready to deal on it.

Hi Gang,
While in Lubbock TX this week, Spirit Chrysler has a 2001 Blue Prowler that has never been titled. I inquired about trading in my 01 vette convertible. Wholesale they offered was 36,000 or 37,000. I owe 41,000. I called Corvette Mike, he offered the same price for the vette. My question is: What is the max I should pay for this Prowler ? And do you think buying two Prowler's is wise. Your response would really help me. Spirit Chrysler is asking $ 48,000.

Duane,

$38,000 would be the price I would pay for a Mulholland that's been sitting. That's the price other's have gotten this summer, (unfortuantly, not me) and thers's one sitting on this web site that's being offern by a dealer that's never been titled for that price . I would guess I the dealer you're working with won't go near there based on the price you're talking about. But at least you have other options.

If you go with you original color preferences, you will probably pay more so keep that in mind.

As for 2, it's all about personal preference ...

Don't you just love the fact that any car you trade is worth crap and what they want to sell is at a premium?

The dealer is clearly ripping you off. If they still have it, Greenville Chrysler (north of Dallas Texas) had a new Mulholland for $34.5K.

There are several places around Texas selling oranges and mulhollands for mid 30's. Tell that dealer to take a hike (without a compass)

Yellow Fever,
You said it all ! Instead of car market, it should be car racket.
Thanks for the post.

I've joined the club of those that moved from a Vette (2000 Torch Red Coupe) to a Prowler (2001 Mulholland.) So far I'm very impressed with the fit & finish of the Prowler, although I didn't have anywhere near the problems with my Vette that others have had.

My reasons for my switch were many and varied. When it came down to it, I'll always be able to pick up another Vette. New Prowlers are disappearing and when they're gone, there gone.

Although I grew up always wanting a Vette (the first model I built when I was 7 or 8 was a split-window C2), it took til I was 46 to get one. When I bought my car, my dealer (a combined Chevy/Chrysler dealer) had both a red Vette and a red Prowler. It took me a couple of days to decide but I went with the Vette, mainly for the practicality of it (storage, fuel capacity, ride, ...) in addition to the fun. Although we took our Vette on a few long trips, we mostly used it as a "toy" to cruise around town in and drive through the mountain twisties. For that, the Prowler is more than adequate.

I just couldn't stand to watch as new Prowlers became fewer and fewer without me having one. I view Vettes now the way I viewed Prowlers then (i.e., someday, I'll have one as a stable mate to the Prowler.)

Kataddict,
Could you possibly get the name of the dealer, and what city ?
That's sounds interesting, I'd prefer a red Prowler.

Thanks,
Duane
