I keep going to the members profile, and I am having trouble filling in the blanks. I worry about giving away to much information to let EVERYONE know that there is a Prowler in my garage, COME-AND-GET-IT. After setting the CAT's factory alarm, I lifted the car of the ground with jacks, NO alarm!! Apparently they can be moved without sounding the alarm. Do I need more security on the car or in the garage, or both? Chain it to the floor? Are they a "High Risk" vehicle?

Actually, you don't even need to list your city and state (or you can make up one)

I would think just being in a locked garage is plenty. I routinely leave the alarm off on mine.

On the other hand, if I don't get satisfaction with my prowler top issue, I may insure it for $200K and post signs that there is an unlocked one in the garage

As far as it being a high risk vehicle, I don't worry about it. You know all that attention you get when you get out of the vehicle, it's the same when you get in to drive it. When we go to car shows, people actually volunteer to watch it and make sure no one takes it.

People notice the car, and would remember which way it went. Plus if it is stolen, it's not like it is a white SUV. It would be pretty easy to pick out on the street.

Don't tell OJ that. Apparently he thought the same thing....

Well - my insurance compony does not consider it a high risk vehicle in any category. As I've posted many times I drive mine daily including out of town business trips less than 300 miles and on a lot of POA events. I try to use sense where I park it but have parkied in hotel lots and office building lots, anywhere that I would park any other car I might be driving.

I worry more about vandalism than the theft of the car. Who are they going sell it too? A very limited market - DC still has 500 new ones left in showrooms - and the prices they would get for these are a lot less than Ferraris, Lambos, etc.

Sweet....I was a little paranoid about too much personal info on the internet, but if Mike Krehel isn't worried with HIS cars, why should I be paranoid about my ONE Prowler?

Besides.....I DARE someone to try and mess with my cat! I would just go postal......
