Are you guys aware when you purchased your trailer with the car unless you i.d. it separately it's not covered in your Collision & Comprehensive. Just had a minor accident with mind and was informed the only insurance I had on the trailer was liability. My fault, my stupidity, not sure what I was thinking about at the time, so just thought I would give you trailer owners a warning.

Sorry to hear about your accicent. My insurance company - Stae Farm - told me same thing; liability only. For $21.50 per six months I got full coverage. Since we have already put over 10,000 miles towing the trailer since March, we decided $43.00 per year was worth it.

I added my trailer to the insurance policy when I got it. I pay $30.00 a year for the coverage.

We have had insurance on all of our trailers, it's cheap and always better to be safe than sorry.
