O.K., so I see this guy selling what appears to be a purple shimmers type of decal with the word "Prowler" and the cat on it on eBay.

He says they are located on the top of the transmission of Prowlers and the only way to get them is to buy a Prowler.

So I raise the car up and feel around the top of the transmission, and I'll be damned, there they are.

QUESTION: Why put these on the transmission? And why put them in a place that NO ONE can see unless you total your prowler or drop the tranny??????

Seeing that I owe a spare tranny and have seen the top of my tranny in my wrecked cat, yes indeed there is a emblem on the top of the tranny. I think if you pull the carpet towards the front of the car and pull the inspection covers, you might be able to see the emblem.

Purple in color.

Trey, maybe it's for a trivia question??????

My guess is that this transmission is used in several different Chrysler models. It was Chrysler's way of letting the salvage people know it's a Prowler transmission. I believe the Prowler trans was a little beefier. JMO
