I find myself cleaning the front windshield all the time. After each cruise the windshield appears to be covered with film and grim, and I must clean it after I park the Kat. Yet my other car’s windshield (a truck) never bothers me if it’s dirty. Am I going crazy or just obsessed? - Kcat |

My experience seems consistent with yours. I have more small stonechips on GRROWL's windshield after 33,000 miles than any other car I have ever owned, one of which had 160,000 with more highway driving. I'd say it's the aerodynamics. -GRROWL |

KCat - I agree with GRROWL, after 21,000 miles, mine looks like a road map! NEVER can keep it clean either |

I've used "gold Seal" glass wax for nearly 30 years now. It is the absolute best(and easiest)product to use on glass.Comes in a pink can, takes all of the film off on your windshield and it will look brand new, I guarantee it! If you have trouble finding the stuff, email me and I'll tell you where to get it. JRL |

Thanks JRL, I will look for the product you recommend. I am looking for something better then Windex and Goal Seal just may be the ticket. I guess when the top & windows are down the only glass between me and the world is the front windshield, must be why it is never clean enough. Thanks Again |

KC, You might want to try Zaino glass cleaner. It has a mild abrasive and can be applied with a power polisher. It definitely cuts through ALL the grime down to the glass, polishes the glass and even gets out some minor chips. -GRROWL P.S. - Stupid question - it IS the OUTSIDE, isn't it? I have more of an issue with film on the INSIDE from all of the vinyl dressings, leather conditioners, etc. |

You don't need to use the Zaino unless your glass is pitted or has other problems. Believe me, this Gold Seal is great stuff. As I said, I've been using it all my life. Was given the idea by the greatest living detailer when I lived in So Cal years ago. Available in "Home Trends" catalog of cleaning stuff. JRL |

Rich, yes, you use this stuff with a good cloth, like you get from pep boys, it takes off all the "cleaner" and leaves it totally clear. ------------------ |

I'm open-minded and willing to try it. Had the Protectall out anyway for the interior and exterior rubber, so I tried it on the glass as well. I'll report on my experience after some use and some rain. -GRROWL |

Gold Seal glass wax can be bought out of the "Home Trends" Catalog. Their phone number is: 1(800) 810 2340 The item number is: 018001-$6.95 or two for $13.00 Well worth it as you'll never see your glass any cleaner, streak and swirl free JRL |
