Major problems with the trailer ETA!!! I called last Wednesday in order to find out the status of my little buddy & was informed that it would take at least another 6 to 7 weeks, that it was not even scheduled to be built yet... I told her that hope to have it by the Skyline Cruise... 6 to 7 weeks would put it arriving at the first or second week of October... It will be close! She then restated that when it does arrive, that I should be there to inspect it myself as it comes off the truck so it could go right back if there were any problems... Well... I arrive to work yesterday morning and started a production meeting when I get a phone call... The voice on the other end informs me that my trailer was in and looks good!!! "WHAT!!!" It was great news to hear it finally came in a month & a half earlier than they estimated!!! Very cool! I will have it for the trip!!!... I will get a hold of my pin stripper... OH SHI# I don't have the hitch installed yet! To make matters worse!!! I still don't have a place to store it!!! A Larry Lord Trailer stand won't even help for I have a four-wheeler parked in front of my Kat in the garage... That isn't going outside... I was going to put the hitch on in the next week or so any way, but I really thought I would have had a little more time to find it a home!!! Yes I am happy it came in! The next week should prove interesting... I will practice driving with it on & will have to learn all of the ins & outs... Dave Mills - Thanks again for all of your guidance & information! I might need a little refresher course though - locks, boxes & such... Gary Archer!!! Your little Pot o'Gold should be next Buddy!!! WildBill |

WildBill, Glad to here you received it time for the cruise! I'm looking forward to seeing your latest creations. I'm hoping to have my interior door panels in before the cruise.

Before you take off with your trailer make sure you put Loctite on the nuts and bolts on the trailers lid latch and catch. Also Loctite the bolts on the rear roll pan,the one just under the license plate. The bolts fell out of mine and the roll pan fell off. Luckily I had just pulled into my driveway when it dropped. You're going to have fun with your trailer. I'm glad I have mine. It holds a lot of stuff. |

I often find it is much easier to disconnect the trailer to where you want and then recoonect it rather than back it up. Reinforce the latch mounting before you take any long trips. I used por rivets and washers. And you going to need a tariler bra or you will be repainting it real soon. |

Congratulations Bill! You will have plenty of room for all sorts of things; the storage capacity is amazing. Get that trailer a bra right now and as the previous post recommends check the bolts. My dealer installed the hitch, put the trailer on the lift and found every bolt loose. Super purchase. Gordon |

Great WildBill - glad you finally got it. As Rich said - get a bra on - even for the trip home. Thise 20" rear tires on the KAT can kick up a lot of road debris. I agree that backing up is the challenge. Reinforcing the latch mechanism is a good preventative measure. Have fun with it. Marty ------------------ Driving my Dream |

CJ & the boys - Thank you for all of the great information. Did not know about the problems with loose nuts & bolts... Some of you might know, I already have a few screws loose. No CJ, I guess nothing makes me happy... Well accept aside from MeneGene - he's too funny... Looking. Picking on Dave always helps too Hey were is Old Yeller anyway??? Thank you for the heads up on the bra as well. I actually ordered it back in July when CJ said that they were re-released. I also ordered rear mudflaps so that the trailer would match the Kat. Still have to order the clear shimmers though. Now I just have to figure out how I am going to place the neon on it Glad you are going to Skyline NJSilver!!! Gordon - you guys going??? WildBill |
