Was at my local dealer tonight and he GAVE me a small bottle of touch up paint. He said he entered my VIN, double checked the paint code (PYJ) and that this was the correct touch up paint for the Inca Gold Prowler.

The part number is 4889596AA

I thought DC wasn't going to make touch up paint for the Inca Gold. Could someone verify if this is, indeed, the correct color?

I'm not suggesting my dealer would steer me wrong, I just want to make sure.

Thanks!

Kevin

Kevin,
I have used the Chrysler Prowler Inca Gold touch up paint on my 2002 and find it matches up well but one of the tricks to it is to shake it up real well before you use it.

There should be no reason why they wouldn't make the touch-up paint for a car they produced!

Does anyone know if touch up paint is available in an aerosol?

Both Gary Archer and I recently tried to get aerosol touch up for inca gold, for Prowler models we are building. The paint that came in is PT Cruiser aztec gold. According to our parts people it comes up the same code for both. I do not have an Inca Gold Prowler to compare the color to. It looks close both from my memory and pictures, but an exact match I do not know. I also purchased Prowler purple in aerosol and also the bottle form. Both are much darker than the purple on my Kat. I have learned that the paint for the Prowler purple and I suspect others pearl colors as well actually dry flat. The shine comes from the clearcoat. I suspect that when put in an aerosol they mixed it wih a clear coat to make it dry shiney. This possibly makes it come out darker. When I had my hood repainted, the painter gave me some touch up in a bottle. It is an exact macth by it does dry flat. He also gave me some clear coat in a touch up bottle. I have not tried mixing the two to see what happens because I don't have allot to spare.
