ProwLancaster was, in fact, a great event. My tour started in Gettysburg where I met up with Damon (Virginia Cat Dude) & Roger (Virginia Cat Dad) as well as Wayne & Hattie (PTCRUISER)… I had the longest tour od Gettysburg since my directions from Mapquest led me on a Goose-chase & the residents of Gettysburg kept sending me in the wrong direction… VCD & I later bumped into a fellow tourist of the battlefields (who really knew an impressive amount about the Kat) He thought there was a Prowler Rally in town due to the fact that he saw at least 9 Prowlers. I later explained to Damon & his Dad that he lost count since he probably counted mine at least five or six times while I drove through the center of town repeatedly… The first stop along the auto tour was at a sight where a pretty big monument stood along the roadside… It marked the first battle of the Gettysburg campaign & listed the amount of killed & wounded - infantry & officers during that fateful day… Well. We almost had to add two Kats & a Dad to that Monument… An obviously excited gentleman or just completely oblivious Moran pulls up with his rented RV & parks in front of the Kats… He gets out to snap some photos & must have left the damn thing in neutral… Here I am, standing in the cornfield on the other side of the road VCD is on the road towards the back of the Kats & VCDad is standing pretty much between the RV & the front of the Kats… I yelled to the “excited gentleman” (Oblivious Moran) that his rig was rolling back… He looked at me like I had two heads… Damon started yelling, & I yelled again while getting ready to drop my camera & run in and get in between the RV & VCDad… The Completely Oblivious MORAN… Still stood there looking at me wondering why I wasn’t letting him take any pictures… Finally, someone inside the Oblivious Moran-Mobile, pulls the emergency brake and the RV comes to a screeching halt while it jostled back & forth… The Completely Confused, Oblivious GentleMoran gets back in the RV & pulls off still unaware of what had happened & why he was only allowed to take one photo… Damon pointed out to me that he thinks the guy was wearing a hearing Aid.
Aside from a Tour Guide chasing us of from a photo op in front of a General Lee monument, everything else was uneventful… (OK we parked in an area obviously not meant for parking & one of us was faced the wrong way…) He was seriously perturbed (Fixumm – Perturbed means really disgusted – Sorry – Mad as heck) Meanwhile, two tour busses passed with everyone’s faces squashed upon the windows starring at the Kats instead of listening to the tour guide on the bus… I guess living history was more important then written history at that moment. The perturbed (Mad as Heck) tour guide said that we better vamoose before the police wrote us tickets… We were parked on the road & no one else was there at the time… “Kids these days! Damn Hooligans” The rest of the tour was amazing & completely breathtaking… VCDad you are right… Everyone should go see it even if they aren’t a Civil War buff… Might make for a good Prowler event in the future…

In Lancaster, the joking & ribbing started early Thursday evening... When we arrived from our tour of Gettysburg… Dave Mills told me that he was just practicing so he could be prepared for all of MeneGene’s antics… Ends up, Dave got hit pretty good right off the bat… I think it was Wayne (PTCruiser) who dubbed Dave Ole’Yeller… Mike kept asking Dave if he should take him out back… We also joked with Squeaks, as we walked back to the hotel… We offered to carry Ole’Yeller back to the hotel but he made it uphill all by himself… Friday morning at the Waffle House was a real hoot too… It ends up to be one of Mike’s usual haunts when he is in town & everyone knew him so well that they ribbed him more then Dave was able too… We went back on Saturday where I was hit several times for not showing up for a date… & the Queen set up an opportunity for everyone there to sing Happy Birthday to Mike… Mike turned redder than MeneGene’s Kat.

The Museum tour was outstanding & very interesting… I was one of the fortunate one’s who got to go to the restoration shop where they were working on a fireless steam engine which appeared in the 1940 World’s Fair… Friday night entailed lots of drinking & joking filled with Katstories at the hotel bar with Bartender Bill… Slowest drink slinger in the East… I guess that’s why I started ordering doubles… Closed the bar with John & his Brother-in-law as well as MadJax... MeneGene... He told me that his eye always looks like that...

The Covered Bridge tour was really great and beautiful… Reba-Cat, you were right… A real piece of Americana… There were so many of them too. It is really tough to take pictures & reload a camera while driving the Kat on some of those winding roads… Marty, I will let you know if all I got were the flags on the back of my Kat Rough estimate… 500 photos this weekend… I still haven’t checked the Kat to see if any rolls of film made their way onto the floor. I should get them back by Thursday. Mike & Kim, great detailed maps & info on ground clearance restrictions… Too bad you did not take the ’99 Kats into account Man you were slacking… Several Kats found that the old roads were really pervious to wheel squealing & chirping… I know I got sideways a few times. Just could not get out of the way of those speeding Amish & their buggies… They made it really tough to pull out onto the roads… We were also warned to leave the rubber on the tires in the rail yard…

The train ride was really great in the Marion Parlor Car & the Reba-Cat really seemed to enjoy the Fireman… I mean, Her ride in the Cab of the Steam engine. Thanks to MeneGene in getting me the proper approval to stand on the tracks & photograph the steam engine as it turned around to pull us back for our journey home. Mike was kind enough to let me know that the tracks were live… Never saw an Amtrak though… The stop off at the Ice Cream shop was a real treat too… We got to see everybody’s Neon Officer Sheetz from Carlisle never came to pay me a visit

The ProwlerDen we set up in the hotel lobby was fun too… It was nice to really get to know one another & find out things you wouldn’t on the site. Heck, VCDad hung with us pretty late too… AlleyCat - Roger would get your stamp of approval!!! I think he could hang with the Corn Huskers & Buckeyes at a tailgate!

I don’t even know where to start…

Mike & Kim – thank you again for such a wonderful & memorable time… You guys really outdid yourselves! Nice to see to Kats in the family that both people drive. I am already looking forward to next year’s event!

Her Majesty & Tom It was a real pleasure & a treat that you could find time from your busy schedule of Queening & Sweeping to honor us who your presence. Thank you again for all of your help as well. You guys looked good in a Kat too. When are your going to adopt one??? Hope to see you guys this Saturday!!!

Wayne & Hattie – (PTCRUISER) I am so glad we could spend our time together. The two of you were a constant icon of smiles & laughter throughout the trip… Hattie – I hope you found the baskets you were looking for! I really hope that candid shot of us in the train comes out… See, you thought be sitting next to me would hinder me from taking your photograph… Always expect the unexpected! Right Mike??? Wayne - a copy & the negatives will be sent to your lawyers as you requested… & Thank you again for taking the blame for coming up with “Ole’Yeller”!

Ole‘Yeller I mean Squeaks I mean - Dave & Brenda Mills – Brenda I don’t know how you do it… Thank you for keeping us in line… I like you guys more & more every time I see you, Dave it was really great to spend time with you again… You are always great for a laugh or two… Especially at your expense… You just have to stop setting yourself up man… Seriously though, thank you for all of your guidance for the preparation & matinence of the trailer. I just might have mine by the end of September… Hopefully the bra will make it in time…

Craig (Ptleftturn) – Pleasure to meet you man… Even if your Dad wasn’t kind enough to introduce us… How Rude… Obviously you take after your Mom… Stay that way & be proud of that!!! Hopefully you will be cruising in a Kat really soon!!! You can do it man & we are all here to support you!!! If you do have a choice for any color, & your Dad is a man of his word, which in fact, I believe he is… Tell him you want the High Voltage Blue Kat. If he has trouble finding it, you can let him know that it is in Texas… Ask for Mike

Damon & Roger Virginia Cat Dude & Dad – really glad we got to meet & a pleasure to get to know. It is really great to see the two of you together sharing everything life has to offer. You guys are a lot of fun to be with even if we were “breaking” the law… Great to see another shutter bug with a great taste in Kats!!! I can’t wait to get all those photos back! As I said, I will help out in any way I can with the CD as well. I am sure we will see each other in October & maybe even sooner then that!

Reba-Cat & Marty Usher – Really great to finally meet you two & finally see the Kat in person! Looking good! . I really enjoyed talking to you guys. You guys are a delight as well & I hope we can get together at future events… Hopefully at the skyline drive tour! Now Rebeca, I am trusting you & Kelly… I will let you know the criteria I am looking for Hubba-Hubba Thank you for the kind words as well. I’m glad you won the Cab ride, you really looked like you enjoyed it for all it was… Marty really missed you too…

Kelly & Gary Archer… Itching for that trailer too! Really glad I was able to put those smiles to the screen name. You two were a real pleasure as well. Enjoyed the many Prowler-Pow-Wows around the kats & at the ProwlerDen Saturday Night… Gary let me know what color you want to do your trim around the steering wheel and other accents… If you can wait until October let me know… I can help you put it on if you’d like. Kelly – As I said to Rebeca – I am trusting you guys… Gary – should I be worried??? But then again Kelly ended up with you & Reba-Cat with Marty
so it can’t be that bad...

Ed & Sandy – Great to see you guys again; I can’t believe that it has only been 8 short months since we first met in Detroit at the CAAP tour! Congratulations again for taking first in the Directors choice car show at the train Museum. You really deserved it! Thank you for the constant laughter & Sandy thank you again for cleaning the grass off of me after I climbed under the Kat to adjust my Neon… AC – Don’t know why you are so hard on the guy… LOL Watch it! He’s a Buckeye too!!!

John & Shelly Buerhle (Straykat) & the StrayKittens - You really have a very kind & amazing family… Very friendly, full of dreams & aspirations & very intelligent. A breath of fresh air. Michael really knew an impressive amount about the Kat too… Has he figured out his favorite inventor yet??? & Remember… If your Kat won’t be used for Kelsey’s Prom… Mine will be there!!! Try to let the kids know that MeneGene doesn’t get MENE until they reach at least 20… Then they really have to watch out… Heck the Mene Ba$t@rd never said goo-bye to me I cried all the way home. OK the water in my eyes were probably from doing 100mph with the top down... But it still hurt...

MeneGene – Pleasure to be your partner in crime… Can’t wait for the Cruise along the Skyline… I am trying to take a week or so off so that I can spend time with my little Nephew as well… I might take you up on the invite as well… Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help out. Hey & thanks again for donating that Shimmer for the raffle!!! I can’t wait to put it on… By the way… What do you mean Hooter’s edition of photos??? You were the one with the camera out by the pool.

Darcy & Nancy– Great to see you again & finally meet your wonderful family. Josh & Jake were so adorable & I can’t wait to get those photos to you… I admire all you guys share together & I am inspired by the smiles always coming from your son’s faces. Love the Frame covers… I can’t wait to see them in chrome… Please let me know how much… Note to all - If you don’t polish your frame… Get them… Even if you do, highly consider them… I am!

Bob & Carol – great to see you guys again!!! Really threw me off when I only saw one Kat at a time… Everyone else thought that you guys had a kick A$$ ChromeIllusion Paint Job!!! The event did not seem official until I heard that horn! Looking forward to the next cruise together! I will get the POAECP logos to you soon so that we could finalize it...

Bill & Lucy - Always a real treat! Lucy Always a delight & Bill always modest to when it comes to photographs… Bill I really loved the placement of that Purple neon you showed me on Saturday night. It really accented all of the right spots in the Kat! Let me know if you want to permanently mount that to a switch… Don’t care what Gene says… I still like the Purple! 4 out of 5 Amish would agree!!! You even caused that guy in the BMW to actually stop along our Covered bridge tour to claim that the Purple was his favorite too. See you guys in VA!!!

Phil – great to see you again! I am still wondering how the Heck you see over that GPS… Very impressive setup! Kat looked great as usual…

Trey Great to finally meet Keiko! Hope we can get together really soon! Really great that you still found a way to come out & join in the fun especially with your busy schedule!!! Plan on the VA trip too!!! We don’t want Gene to feel left out being the only Red… We have to help keep his ego inflated!!!

SteveO & Sharon – Great to see you guys & the Kats as always – Steve I really like the sign too… I am making plans to be at the Home Depot Cruise on Saturday hopefully I will see you there!

Matt & Helen Bajek – Don’t listen to a thing MeneGene tells you… It was great to see you two again & I am really glad you guys made it out there…

Jason – Great to see you back on the Prowl. It was funny sitting there watching Marty and MiniMarty talk NOS… I could have sworn that I heard Marty say “That’s my boy” every time you peeled out during the Bridge cruise.

To everyone at the ProwLancaster event… Thank you for such a wonderful & joyful event - full of memories & nonstop laughter & a wonderful exchange of ideas, information & stories… I really can not wait for the next cruise & ProwLancaster II…

Respectfully Yours

WildBill

WildBill,

It was great to meet you and your car is simply too Kule as Kelsey would say. You have done some fine mods that are truly unique. Thanks for the kindness to the kids....... Hope to see you again soon.

Sincerely,

John

PS. Did you take typing in School ? Maybe you could teach Fixxum ? I understand he is in need ?

CJ & Fixumm,

I just goes to show, an event has many different perspectives. WildBill is entitled to his view of what happened...totally whacked...mind you, but different.

BTW - Bill, I blew some kisses to you when I left, or was that from the rear.

WildBill,

Sounded like you had a great time. Well, at least the first half of the first paragraph. I couldn't continue. My eyes hurt. Like Fixumm had said, a picture worth a thousand words. I am sorry and I know that you have taken your time to put it into words. If not, hopefully I'll finish reading it by Friday...

I was teasing Fixumm with regard to his comments about it being too long.

CJ,
I know...Fixumm need pictures for most things, including length. Bill's (War and Peace) version is better and a lot more accurate, if you like historical accuracy...
Don't give up on Fixumm, you may yet turn him from... the dark side. Frog spells work best.

matthew46 - great pic!

WildBill, Mis-direction at it's best!

WildBill, thanks for the recap. I did not know about the near miss in Gettysburg. (I told you guys to buy the tape and not get lost, lol.) Gettysburg was much different than I thought it would be the first time I saw it.
WildBill bought about $ 1000 worth of tickets for the raflle and won almost half of the prizes but re-donated most of them. He did keep the shimmer, with glee in his eyes and voice. He has blue neon in the rear of his cat and it is indirect onto the rear wheels and looks the best of any neon I have seen. JOMO.
Between WildBill and VaCatDude it would never get dark, even in a cave. Constant flashes for pictures. I highly endorse the CD's. Great pictures. Cheaper than buying a camera and film, just look at theirs on a CD. Good work guys.

You mean I don't get a hat or a die-cast Kat for the longest single post ever??? Damn! I try & I try... Heck I even became a Prowler Junkie within the first 10 days I started to post... I quit... I will never get one!

Oh no... We just lost Fixumm... I already passed my two sentence requirement for the boy... Everyone please pause from reading this for ten minutes so that he can catch up...

Fixumm, You Ready... Take it slow... You can do it... I have faith in you!

Fixumm- As VCD stated. The pictures will go for $10 in CD format created by Virginia Cat Dude & myself... Music & graphics will enhance your viewing pleasure... They will come out just in time for Halloween when you can finally take your mask off & show us what you really look like... Besides... If you can't read more then two sentences or is that one sentence??? Look at your post man... You see... TWO means more than ONE Stomp your left foot twice if you understand... (that is the one on the driver's side of the car, the one you shouldn't be using to accelerate) - on second thought just post a bunch of letters & we will try to decipher it as usual...
Do you really think you could look at the 500 photographs I took alone??? If a picture says a thousand words (spelled & executed correctly) Then get ready for 5,000,000 of them... I will post a few when I get them back on Thursday... By the way... How did you do with the Hummer event??? Did you have a great time??? I trust your rendition of the "Alphabet song" was a huge hit!!!

Sorry for the lengthy post... Was up until 4:00am because I couldn't sleep last night... I just wanted to share my joyous time with everyone...

John - Thank you for the kind words on the mods... I guess I just try to be different & unique sometimes... It was my pleasure to hang out with the StrayKittens... I meant every word I said about them... Can't wait to see them grow! You have much to be proud of. As far as typing... I am on a keyboard all day & I guess I just hack it like anyone else... I just love to write... As far as Fixumm... Unfortunately, It has been proven several times before... There is no help for him... But we can try.

MeneGene - I just have a hard time talking about PeePee spanking... I guess I am all about details in everything I do... Sorry I didn't know you blew me kisses I always was affraid that guys who liked red, like the rear!!! FrogSpells??? I'm not going to kiss Fixumm... He might be contagious
Thank you CJ- I knew whom you were speaking of!!! Thank you for the great photo Matthew46 - Fixumm - my Kat is the silver one right behind Darcy's Yellow midway through the pack, waiting to turn... Does this help??? Sorry man... I missed you & MeneGene was looking out for you. For the most part... I never said a word about you the whole weekend... Just had to catch up... You going to be in VA??? I'll bring my dictionary

Ed Thanks for the post - Glad you appreciated the Neon too... Now we just have to work on the Law Enforcement... As far as the constant flashes of strobes... We just wanted Sandy & yourself to feel like movie stars... With all the images captured by VACatDude & myself, we could probably put a full length motion picture together...

Talk to you all soon!

WildBill

Wow this is the first post since I have been back that I didn't bust on Dave... Don't worry, I still love ya' man! Dave- You agreed with Ed’s Heartfelt Comment You really do care!!!

I must admit Bill, I had a totally different impression of you at Carlisle. I am glad to say that in this case my first impression was wrong. I don't think that I can ever be as verbose as you though. I am more into the two sentance post. Oh no, does that mean I am like fixumm???? Hope to see you at Skyline Drive.

Did I give you a bad first impression??? MeneGene took to me right away along with the Silsby's & the Stephens'... What did I do??? Did I not pick on you? Is that it??? I'm sorry... Glad we got it all worked out now! Proud to be your friend no matter what MeneGene says. Will be at the Skyline Cruise...

Fixumm - Sorry man - too much on my mind these days... I haven't even been on ebay since last Wednesday... Checked the G-string... It is on right but was getting a little tight in certain areas... It might be the sequins & lace... Might be this new diet I'm on... I haven't driven the Kat since Sunday... Had my coffee today... I will figure it out & work on it...

WildBill

WildBill,

Don't listen to Fixumm's comments...he gave me a hard time, too, when I sent a long post. He's just jealous that he can't string together that many words at one sitting.

We really enjoyed meeting you and hope to get together with you again real soon.
