Ed: Took your advice and today finally had time to take the terminals off of the battery to reset the emissions light. While I was at it I turned on the AC too to reset the computer to not lose so much power when the AC is on - man what a difference that made!! So far the emissions light has stayed off and I had fun retraining the computer for faster driving on our back roads out here in the country! Thanks again for the info. Tami, glad it worked out. If the light comes on again you can go to the dealer and have them check it. Hopefully that cured the problem. Everyone kept talking about making sure the gas cap clicks. I never tightened my cap that tight until about a month ago. After that I started having the problem. It may have something to do with the "washer" or seal in the cap. |

Ed: I wonder if the hotter weather has had something to do with it too - similar to vapor lock? Who knows. I need to get it in to Neal anyway before Cruisin the Coast - want the top adjusted and some other minor things checked out since I haven't had it back in since we originally purchased it. Was just glad to see the light go off so I wasn't worrying about a cat going out or something more. Take care and hope to see you at CTC. T |
