Curtis, it is really hard for me to believe that a woman would stay with you for 36 years after you take her to a pea soup joint. And how do you reward such faithful devotion? By taking her back there!! Only in America. Don't you guys have White Castle?? lol. Congratulations on the longevity. |

Congrats on your anniversary Scott and Kathy. Wow, 36 years, you're a lucky guy. The Anderson's Pea Soup place is still there, but I wouldn't take her there. This time she may not stay with you. Why risk it? On the same Highway 5 there is Harris Ranch. The best beef in the world, and great food. I stop there every time I go to LA from Northern California. By the way, there is no White Castle in California, at least I have never heard of it. I realize you wanted to know what we were doing, but is seems none of us are doing anything as important as you. We have nothing better to do than to give you advice, as if you need it.. LOL. This message has been edited by Punk N Purp on 08-04-2002 at 08:33 PM |

Curtis, Funny you should mention Anderson's Pea Soup Restaurant. I was just their restaurant in Buellton yesterday while on my way to the races at Santa Maria Speedway for last nights races. I learned my lesson about the soup a few years ago. Happy Anniversary. Jim, This message has been edited by Larry Lord on 08-04-2002 at 04:32 PM |

Curtis, Congratulations to you an Kathy. Don't know why Kathy puts up with you! Just Kidding! To everyone else there are now 2 Pea Soup Andersons one on Highway 5 and the original on Highway 101 so I guess peas soup can't be all that bad since the restaurant has lasted I think over 40 years. |

First thanks to all of you for the replys. Short story, Drove about 300 miles today most of it on cruise control about 80 to 85 Highway 5 north and south got a smile for every mile, (no tickets). Got to the Anderson Pea Soup joint not the same one but they still had the left overs stored for me after all these years, was extra green and just as cold as the last time, Thanks again to all of you for the kind and funny words, Kathy says Hi Happy Prowlin ------------------ |

Congradulation's Scott and Kathy on 36 years with your best friend. Anderson's food can be good, just don't order the soup! BTW, there is a 3rd Anderson's in Carlsbad, CA just off the I-5 Fwy at the Palomar Mountain Rd. exit. I take the wife there every spring time to Armstrong's Nursery when there 50+ acres of flowers are in bloom. It's a great way to spend a Sunday morning. Driving down the CA coast to Carlsbad on a bright Sunday morning. This message has been edited by Norb @ TGF on 08-05-2002 at 01:09 PM |

I haven't been to Anderson's yet. Actually, never heard of it. I will take everyone's advice though, I will stay away from the soup. I took my wife to Long Beach Aquarium in my new LR Discovery via Pacific Coast Highway. It's a great place and we had a lot of fun. Happy 36th Anniversary!!! ------------------ |
