I just called the host hotel ( Homestead Suites, 248-340-8888)to make reservations for Woodward and they said that only 6 rooms were booked for the Prowler Owners !!!!! Man, what a bummer! Last year we had almost 60 owners at Woodward. Is that really all that's going?? CJ....are there any plans for Friday before the Black Tie?? ------------------ |

Steve, I thought everyone was staying at the Homestead because of the lower rates. Is there a group at the Marriott???? If so, I'll change my reservation. I'm arriving Thursday night. |

Ken.........the host hotel is the Marriot. Carol Schultz booked the same hotel as last year at the same rate of $99. I blocked some rooms at the Homestead at the rate of $49 because a number of people stayed there for some other events in Detroit and said they would prefer the lower rate. As far as I know, there are no activities planned at the hotel that everyone would need to be in the same place. The Homestead was offered as an alternative. They are just a couple of miles apart from each other. I received a call from my contact at the Homestead about releasing the remainder of the 40 rooms that were blocked and he did confirm that only six of the rooms had been reserved. Ken.........as I had posted earlier, I was not involved in the planning of the Make A Difference Foundation event on Saturday.......I have not heard at all from Carol, so I do not know what any of the plans are. With regard to any activity on Friday....I don't know if she has planned anything for that either. I have no idea how many people have booked spaces with Carol to know how many people are coming for the event. No one has contacted me about doing any extra-curricular activities. The Black Tee Party is Friday night, and I did post the information on how to purchase tickets for that. People who have attended in the past should have received their invitation a while ago. The focus car for the Black Tee will be the PT Cruiser. I do know there is NO cruise planned with the PT's (or the Prowlers) like last year. There is NO focus on the Prowlers at all this year (no goodies bags or such). Since production has ended on Prowler, there are no plant tours planned. I could however, take a group to the plant to shop at the store. We could also make a stop at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum. If anyone would like to do that on Friday, I would be happy to make the arrangements and lead the group. I spoke to Harold Sullivan the other day when I picked up the diecasts and he asked if we were coming back there this year. I told him no, as I didn't think there was a big group this year. He hopes that everyone will come next year. For anyone who is coming in earlier in the week, we cruise Woodward just about every night of the week. There are also lots of local car cruise-ins. If anyone would like to join me for cruisin' and dinner during the week, let me know. I will be Prowlin' on my own.........Bob will be in California on business during the week but will be back Thursday night. I could use the company! See you on Woodward! CJ, Thanks for the update. I am really bummed that Woodward will be so sparsely attended by Prowler owners. I had such a thrill last year participating with all of those Kats. Even the rain soaked ride to Hell was unforgetable. Just to be on the road with a large group of Kats is incredible. I will be up for any activity.....organized or not. Just tell me where the group is and I'll be there! I've done both museums so something different would be more interesting. Just crusing would be great also. I probably won't get in Thursday night until about 10:00PM. I have not received anything from Carol or from the Black Tee people. I was waiting on notification and have not received anything or registered. I better search your posts and find the registration number! The only problem I have with the Homestead is that Dave said there would not be any security provisions since we only had 7 rooms reserved. The price also went up to 62.00 because of the low volume. I am going to check with the Marriott to see how many they have registered. Who else will be there????? Speak up! |

Ken....I was not aware that they changed the room rate, though I understand why. It is still better than $99. However, regarding security, many people stayed there during the Detroit Auto Show event and the CAAP Tribute event and I did not hear of any security issues. The hotel is located in a very nice area and is directly across from the police station! The number to order Black Tee tickets is: 800.422.7596 The tickets are $40 each. It is also my understanding from when we ordered our tickets that if you own or lease a PT Cruiser, you can get the tickets for half price. You will need the first 10 digits of the VIN# of your PT.

CJ, I would be interested in the CAAP store friday afternoon. We'll probably be coming up in the morning and arrive around 11:00am. (Marriott) How about a 1:00 cruize over to the plant for goody shopping? |

Carol emailed to say we have 27 prowlers registered for Pontiac parking. Not as many as years past...but still very respectable! See you all there. How about signing in with your arrival date and approximate time. Steve Clark - Black Friday 11:00am Marriott |

I'll be heading up Thursday or Friday (at this point looks like heading to Xenia OH on Thursday evening, on up to Detroit on Friday morning). We'll be staying in Lake Orion with my cousin. I will definitely be in Pontiac on Saturday. May make the CAAP store run depending on what family has planned. I have not received a parking pass yet for Pontiac. Mike |

Cold & Wet, I'm glad you will have yours as I am not sure if I will have one for my car ( still not painted ), At this moment the trunk lid, bumpers and rear pan are off my car on the back side and the grill, radiator cover and bumper filler panels and side panels are off on the front. I have 2 guys coming over around 8 tonight to help me put the Prowler back together so I am still shooting for leaving tuesday morning. |
