The Chrylser Group reported another 106 new Prowlers sold in the U.S. during July. So, we now have more new owners whom might need some information or just stop by and visit the POA web site. Vipers had another good month with 142 sales and PT Cruiser had 11,735 sales. ------------------ |

Larry. My best estimate is somewhere between 700 & 1,000. During the early years Chrysler reported the sales as North American & than changed to just U.S. So, it's tough to be more specific but, definitely less than 10% of total production still available for sale. |

Larry. Thanks to RPL. That is the exact answer... Now, we can track the countdown each month... Maybe, that's another poll question? How many unsold Prowlers by Dec. 31st 2002??? |

quote: That really depends on the dealers. I must have contacted about 100 during the month of July to get my 2002 Yellow and still found prices all over the board and not making any sense. One dealer had a new 2000 that he wanted as much for as a 2002 yellow (go figure). Another wanted $50K for the gold one. ------------------ Driving a car is just transportation, |

Just a Note - I know of 2 Dealers in Indiana which have Prowlers on the inventory list a new and unsold but are not selling them since they have them in storage and are planning keeping them . One dealer still has a 1994 Viper never titled and in storage but does drive it once and awhile in parades, Etc. These stored cars will always show as stock and unsold. |

Eagle 1, good point. Thanks Laddie and Bob. I think they will sell 377 more this year and so the year end total will be 426. Bob is there anyway to find out how many Plymouths are left? I have a friend who expressed an interest for the first time today but wants a Plymouth. You can't blame him since Plymouths are better than Chryslers, right? lol. I don't think there are red Chryslers, either. |

quote: You are correct. In looking for my new 2002 yellow, I found a couple of dealers that were purposly keeping 1 or 2 older ones (an orange, a mulholland, etc.) on the showroom, just as a draw. I doubt that there are many new plymouths left as chrysler offered alot of money to the dealers to get rid of anything that said plymouth on it (including the cars - something like an $8K bonus check to move them). I have found only 1 new plymouth but, the dealer was using it as their demo (1300 miles on it) and it was his favorite color (yellow). He also wants $40K for it (nose is scraped) which is what he was willing to sell his new 2002 yellows for (10 miles and no scrapes) ------------------ Driving a car is just transportation, |

Ed, Bob updates a list of all unsold Prowlers by dealer, by color. There is no way to tell if any of these have miles or are really not for sale (being kept by dealers). We are happy to let members know which dealers have a particular color. This sort can be done by brand (Chryslers or Plymouths), color, state, dealer, etc. Contact us with a specific and we'll help you out! |
