The 2005 Corvette is revealed on the cover of the August 2002 Road & Track magazine. It looks like the new Dodge Viper SRT-10 will continue to be America's ultimate sports car and the Prowler will continue to be America's most unique Cruiser. The new Corvette looks a bit like the new Nissan 350Z...what do you all think?

Saw the magazine issue you are speaking ... first, it is a drawing of what is "assumed to be coming" for the C6 9sixth generation Corvette) based on dialogue, rumors etc. out of Detroit. I can only hope they have missed the mark, becayse from the content of the story, I think they will miss the mark from the Corvette audience's point of view. Styling, I thought, with the large cut in the front fender, was very similiar to the new Viper ... and the fixed headligths to "save weight" suck. Oh well, we will see in a year and a half I guess. The 50th anniversary was a disapointment too ... guess DC isn't the only bunch to have poor color designers working the studio ...

On a side note, I did see the new Caddie sports car that will be built in the Bowling Green Corvette plant ... Northstar platform, but same under pinnings as the next generation Vette ... looked COOL, but will be pricey $85k plus.

Any pictures! Sounds like the Corvette is going to be a dud. PS. the same designer who design the Atrek, is the designer for the Vette.

Got to see a new Nissan 350 Z at our saturday car show. This could be a sleeper, if they keep the price between $26 to $34K, as we were told. The car came from Calif., but I didn't know that they had released any yet. It was sharp, except the big Nissan name badge on the front end, ick!
