Entitled "Last Prowler Goes for a Bundle" August 2002 issue page 32 "With Chrysler having written the final page of the Prowler adventure-it sold 11,703 of them-the last car off the assembly line was auctioned off last May by Christie's for a mind boggling $175,000. Yes, that's $129,378 over sticker, but it comes with a little matching trailer, a custom-wrapped shift knob for the four speed automatic, and some nice pinstriping. The buyer was Mike Krehel, 51, of Houston who owns 14 other Prowlers and is the founder of the Prowler Owners Association. Interesting guy: He retired from the rat race at 37, having apparently done very well in the satellite-television business. Proceeds went to fight multiple sclerosis, so Krehel may have been overly generous on purpose." |

Thanks for the heads up on the great little article on Mr. Blue! I'll be looking for a copy tomorrow. MS finally got their money this last week I believe, so there should be some press from them shorty. We and MS both won on this one! PS. There is no pinstriping. I notice they did not mention it was delivered to a K-Mart. I guess with Martha Stewart in trouble for insider trading they did not want to mention any of her accounts. Mike you are not connected with her in the stock market, are you? lol |

Mike, I know you do not need my input on picking stocks but Sam's in Cincinnati just keeps expanding. Sam's for those who might not know is Sam Walton and WalMart is from the last name. As soon as they finish expanding one store they go to the next. When they get done with all of them they seem to start all over. They are huge here now. It is nice of K-Mart to let you use their lot but I am sure you shop there a lot. lol. |

Linda and I said the same thing. Mike doesn't look anywhere close to being 51. Especially with his 20 something looking bride. I found it interesting that the article didn't mention the one of paint, anodized frame or the time capsule in the trailer among other things. |
