Took delivery this morning. 93 degrees - sunny and hot. The owner of the dealership (3rd generation) greeted us and took our photo. Signed the papers (yikes!) and we're off. Every vehicle we met, EVERY vehicle, flashed their lights or honked their horn or gave us a thumbs up. A nearby Chevy dealership was having a 'Vette rally in their parking lot today. Drove by (mostly unintentionally) and saw more than 100 heads turn and jaws drop simultaneously. After a short cruise, if you can call it that (the babysitted needed to get home), parked the Kat in the driveway. Within 30 seconds a pair of Harleys ride by and one rider says (quite loudly) to the other, "Did you see that, they got A PROWLER!". Unbelieveable...this whole experience is totally unbelieveable. If someone could bottle this feeling and sell it, they'd be rich in no time! Thanks to ALL of you who've helped educate and enlighten me along the way. Remember the final scene in "Jerry Maquire" when Rod Tidwell (the football played portrayed by Cuba Gooding) is informed on live television that he's been offered a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract? Remember how that moment transforms him into a deeply emotional, bumbling fool. I kind of know how that feels right about now. Kevin ------------------ |

It's an amazing experience, isn't it? I'm getting all sorts of comments around here in Reno. I can only imagine what would happen if we got all the Reno owners together for a short cruise (hmmm. just might happen around Hot August Nights...) Congrats! and watch out for yourself; don't get too distracted by people waving at you while you're driving. :-) -brad |

Kevin, I have had my cat for 3 years and 3 months. It is still the same. In the past month I have had numerous people tell me it is the first Prowler they ever saw except in a picture. I had no idea the kind of reaction it was going to garner. The first truck driver that blew his horn at me almost got 20% of a high five and then I saw he was smiling and waving. I thought he thought I cut him off or was in his lane or some other problem. After that I knew what was going on and it continues to this day. |
