Got a call from my dealer telling me the car (on a trailer) was about 20 minutes away. Loaded up my wife, 3-year old daughter and camera and went to wait for the Kat to arrive. It seemed like forever, but about 20 minutes later here it comes, looking lean and mean. Words cannot describe our feelings as we looked at each and every square inch of our new car. Looks even better in person than in photos. Watched them unload it (very, very carefully) from the trailer, gave the keys to Jo Ann and said, "It's all yours, honey!". Her eyes lit up as she got in and took a quick spin around the dealer lot. Practically the entire staff and everyone who happened to drive by came to stare. Seeing the joy in my wife's face was worth paying sticker price for (Don't worry, I didn't. Not even invoice. Not even close). There were a grand total of 3 miles on the Kat when it arrived. Tomorrow it gets flaps, ceramic brake pads (front only) and suspension braces. Then off to detailing. Delivery is scheduled for Saturday because that's the earliest we could find a babysitter! Sorry this is so long, but I've been waiting for this night for months. Took loads of photos, but by the time the dealership kicked us out, the 1 hour photo places were all closed. (Besides, in my tests postings all the files were too big so Im not sure how to post photos anyway) More ramblings tomorrow. Thanks for making me feel welcomed. Kevin ------------------ |
