Last Saturday I went car shopping with a friend of mine. One of the places we went to was the local Chrysler dealer. On the way, I'm telling my friend that the dealer used to have an Inca Gold Prowler in the showroom, and I thought it may still be there. When we got there the Prowler was sitting outside. I thought, nice day and all, why not? WRONG!!! As we parked a salesman walked out, locking the door behind him as it was closing time. I asked if he was just going to leave the Prowler sit outside all night. He shrugs his shoulders and says it's been sitting outside day and night for quite some time. We went to take a close look...there was tree sap all over it, and several scratches (one on the fender went all the way down to the fiberglass!). It was really a sorry sight. By the way, Gary Archer and others that have Inca Gold Prowlers my friend thought the color was absolutely beautiful! |

This guy should be arrested for cruel and unusual punishment. Perhaps, you could have the Orphan's Rescue League seize her. It sure doesn't sound like he wants to sell it; |

Gary: We need to stick together as Inca Gold believers! This situation is EXACTLY why I didn't buy an orange model. The dealership who had one always kept it outside and the deck was scratched to heck. Prowl On! Kevin ------------------ |

the few, the proud, the brave, the gold owners LOL. Really sad what some dealerships do to new Kat's, and then they wonder why they cannot sell them! |

I saw a post on the board about a brand new kat in NY. I wanted a black so I flew to NY to look at it. What the dealer didnt tell me was that the kat had sat outside for 2 YEARS! you can imagine what it looked like. What a fool I was for not asking that question. Shame on him for not telling me.Lesson learned. |

dqman, would that be Riverhead NY that you looked at that cat? He always had 5 or 6 Cats outside as well as Vipers. Back in 2000, he was asking 65-70K for the cars and thats why they sat. |

I guess supply has definitely caught up with demmand here in Denver. I drove by Lithia Chrysler Plymouth on Wednesday and all the Prowlers were relagated to the outdoors with the mediocrity. Out in snow and ice were two Yellows, Two Oranges, one Silver, one Black, One Black Tie and one '99 Red. A far cry from the velvet barriers in show room warmth two years ago of perhaps a single color selection of a single car. Wow, it was hard to tell the row of frozen Prowlers from the row of frozen generics. You have done it DC..our cars have become ordinary. Bad job. ------------------ Chromer and Jack The Above attachment is our post from December 2000, so...however bad the Gold seems to "be getting it" it's been done before...more coldly and in larger quantities... get over it. ------------------ |

As Bob Lutz said......"Either you get it, or you don't!" Unfortunately, a lot of the dealers don't view the Prowler the same way we do. To them..it's just a car to sell. There was a Yellow Prowler on a dealer consignment lot last year near us. It was parked up on one of those display ramps and sat out there all winter in the snow. I couldn't believe it..........very sad. |

Dec. 2001 I bought my first Kat in Inca Gold. It is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life so I am partial to Inca Gold. In May 2002 I bought a new Candy Apple Red Kat from Florida and had to have it shipped to Oregon. Now I would have a hard time choosing which I like best of the two. A Kat is a Kat - they are all beautiful!

Glad to see Louisiana Auto dealers take pride in thier Prowlers. They are in a certain place at the dealer with usually a rope around them and a sign that says don't touch see a salesperson. Now thats pride. |

A couple months ago, my girlfriend and I came across a 2001 Silver that had been left outside. The front bumpers were all scratched up, the finish was rough, the top had stains all over it and the wheels looked liked they had never been cleaned. The dealership was asking about $47,000 for it. My girlfriend wanted to "adopt" so that we could take it home and give it some TLC. ------------------ • MTD Prowler Intake System 2.2 |

Guys, if I had the garage space I'd buy it. But I am kind of curious what he'd take for it... |
