(Typed by donna) We (I) have been a purist for 2 years. Every car I have ever had has been nosed, decked, stripped,& cleaned to the basic essentials of pure form. Our (my) passion, the essence of car, has been the basic black cat (with flames--can't be too pure) but we found out about mud flaps on the Colorado tour. When we missed the rain (none so far in 5600 miles) but ran through some road spray on one of the tours, everyone with mud flaps had a relatively clean car except us. They are cheap--get yours before they run out, they take 15 minutes to install. You can do it yourself without taking the wheels off with patience and a 10mm open end wrench. They look grrrrrrrreat! Donny - I too was a purist for over two years, then in Jan I caught my own huge rock, missing the rear fender guard and taking a marble size chunk of paint out with it. OK, maybe not marble size, but close. Bought the front flaps, cut 1 1/2" off, and haven't had any problems since. JMO |

Thanks, Donna! You and others have convinced me that front and rear flaps need to be my very first install — even before I drive it off the lot. (Next is ceramic brake pads) I bought my Gold Kat from your fair State. I'm glad a Minnesotan is doing what I can to assist with your economy! Kevin ------------------ |

Thanks to Minn from SD. We appreciate the help by buying your Kat from us. As you know out here we go for it where ever we can get it. Out here were they leave stuff on the road the mud flaps help. One of our first mods was the ceramic brake pads. Like most Prowler owners we noticed the black dust on the front wheels after every cruise. You know--it's too valuable to take out very far, but even after a little drive at that special time the dark dust on those those precious, shiny wheels! Omigod, all that money and look at that! The ceramic pads are a must. No more brake dust. Just do it. |
