Now that Summertime Cruzin' has officially begun...we need the 'Best of the Best' music for Prowlin'... What are YOUR favorite CD's for your Prowler 6-Pak (CD changer)? Do you have your 'in town' mix and a different set of CD's for the road, events, etc.? Tastes will vary, of course, but some CD's just seem to be 'Made for the Prowler' and the open road... My current mix: 1. 'Road Trips' - CD available from Restoration Hardware (Mustang Sally, Green Onions, American Woman, Ventura Highway...) Maybe we can compile 'POA's Top 20 CD's for Prowlin'..' Goin' Cruzin' now... Bob, out... ------------------ |

Personally I love Polka. My list of the all time bests would include: 1) Whinin Willard and his Crazy Accordions. This includes the sentemental, "Don't catch your nipples in the bellows, Imogene" 2) Bob Crackus and the Cracks with, "You don't sweat much for a fat girl, Thelma Sue" 3) Freddie Flatulent and the Fart Tones in there special rendition of Navy Bean Boogie, and last but not least; 4) Homer Izzicks and his delightful renditions on his juice harp. |

quote: Not so much Polka, but accordions -- if you like accordions, you have to listen to: In fact, now that I've reminded myself, I ought to go swap out one of those discs in the changer for TDA... [edit] Might also add, even if you don't "like accordions", but do like good old fashioned rock, give 'em a listen. You'd be surprised... I have seven different cd cartridges. Each one holds a different kind of music. I have two that are 50's Rock 'n Roll/cruisin' music. A couple are current pop/rock. One is all female singers......one is all male singers. I had one at Colorado that was mountain cruisin' music. I like a wide variety of tunes!!! One of my favorite cds is the one that came with the Prowler. If you really listen to it and the guy that narrates it.......he's hysterical!!! It also has some great cruisin' tunes! ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |

I burn my own CD's. I can usually get the equivalent of two albums on one blank CD. Then its like having a 12 disc changer. I do mixes with favorites. I have one CD which is all car tunes. 409, Dead Mans Curve, Little Deuce Coupe, Little Old Lady from Pasadena, Drag City just to name a very few. Favorite Mix includes Cher, Eagles, ZZ Top, Heart, Springstein, Tina Turner, Phil Collins, Brian Adams and more. ------------------ |
