Well, I just got my Kat back from the dealership yesterday... They had it for 5 days.... Pretty happy with the whole deal only thing was amount of time it took was longer than promised... Had her in the shop for a new convertable top, new headlamp assembly, new shifter bezel.... Only thing that really sux about the whole deal, is that I'm going to have to get another top, and top replacement took the longest to perform, because when it's warranty they don't replace the whole assembly, they have to strip the old cloth and put on new stuff. I am pleased with the work though, seems to be a tighter fit than the original one... I just can't believe that when I first looked at the top I spotted a flaw in this material as well. So now I have to wait another 3 months for another new top to come in. Does anyone here have a completely "flawless" top???? I wonder how long Bankston would have taken.....

No car is flawless, sorry. Its built by humans. Five wasn't that bad,,,,,,did you want a rush job and poor quality of work? I thought 3 to 4 full days would be reasonable, just guessing. Wait 'til you meet MadMax,,,,,world's pickyest Prowler owner |

I am taking my car in any day now to have the top repaired or replaced. My top is in excellent condition, except for the rear window which is pulling apart from the fabric. If they will not replace the whole assembly, I will ask for them to just repair around the window. If they are unable to do that, I am going to fix it myself. The only other problem I have had with my top is that one of the wires to the rear defroster became frayed at the connection, but I repaired that myself. I didn't want to give my car up for a day for a two minute fix. ------------------ MTD Prowler Intake System 2.2 |

Hey Bill, Just curious as to why you don't want to have the whole canvas replaced????? That will definately solve your window problem, because it's part of the canvas.... I have to get my back window tinted again now.. Later, |
