Hey All,

I am contemplating on driving the Prowler into Manhattan for a cruise around the New York city and visit some friends for the day. Thoughts or suggestions?

Brian, I would definitely try and make it a weekend thing, preferably Sunday as the rest of the week is bedlam. Maybe stop by a Marina and get some of those hanging dock bumpers for the side of the Cat to be sure

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!! I took mine in last year and almost lost the front end in a pot hole and had cabs that I'm sure were trying to "take me out". I know it sounds like a good idea but I would think twice if I were you. A Sunday might not be too bad but I went in on a Saturday and it wasn't the fun that I thought it might be.

I live 10 miles from there,I would not even think of it even on a Sunday the road system is the pits. I have vans and trucks in there everyday they get torn up like you would never believe

Avoid Times Square... Major construction for the past 8 years... You will not have an undercarriage if you do... I think it has become the new proving grounds for Hummer instead of the Baja Pen. I have heard that there have been quite a few sightings here by my colleagues... I think they are all rentals though...
Let me know when you plan on coming down!!!

Al - what the hell kind of a place do you live in?

Do they have drive-by shootings also? I thought the Don was put to rest this week? How was the funeral?

I found out that Al can drive his cat in NYC, because the other traffic around him thinks he is a high performance taxi cab.

It would be a BLAST to fly thru the streets of Manhattan driving a prowler...........a rental prowler.....start in time square at 4:30 am on Sunday morning .....go south on Broadway street racing light to light.....go thru garmet district, past the empire state bldg...look up ..and head out for Greenwich Village, Little Italy and China Town...if there a bump or a pot hole in the road don't hit the brakes , tromp on the gas and keep the front wheels lite ....go in to the financial District ..hang a left on wall street ....find the statue of the big brass bull ,stop for a while take a few puffs of a fine cigar ,rub the bulls balls for good luck....then get on the West Side Highway go north as fast as possible....if I get a silver prowler the cops will think its its Spiderman and leave me alone......125 blocks to Grants Tomb..do a hi power cats a$$ and salute the old boy....go west on W 125 th street until it crosses lenox Ave in Harlem....the Krispy Cream donut store is here on the corner....this would be a good place to have breakfast and call the rental company to send a tow truck because the car is running a little hot and I don't want to take a chance on damaging it ...then have the driver drop me at the air port..........boy o boy that would be a good cruise ...I'm in Spoons lets roll....

If it's a rental car Pauley, why not throw in a few neutral drops in the Krispy Creme parking lot?
