Hi all, two questions here

1) Are the a-arms titanium?

2) Anybody ever seen corrosion on them like this before? http://www.terra.es/personal4/stalidilado/aarmshot.jpg

You can feel every one of those white bumps, as they protrude out. I have no idea what it is, but I'm pretty sure it can't be the aarms corroding. But at the same time I'm wondering how a just the clear coat can protrude like this.

Thanks a bunch.

They are aluminum.

if aluminum corrodes it turns white. there is a problem with some of the ones clear coated along the mold seam

The corrosion points definately are white on my aarms. Is there a way to tell visually or by touch if the aarms are coated along the mold seam?

Also, would you know if they did recalls to correct this?

Thanks

either they are clear coated or they are not. Early `99 had then coated the Black `99 (I think) started with the a arms that were not coated. they are rough to touch. Coated ones are smooth and shiney.

Cleaning should keep corrision to a min. If I remember the main complaint was yellowing along the seam

My `99 does not have any discoloration. It never sits outside and I do not wash with water very often.

Mine are the same as Wildcat's. I have no noticeable discoloration either.
