Hey All, Just wanted to stir the pot a little. But, there is no other car out on the market today that is cooler or more fun then the Prowler. Maybe I'm just Prejudice? Thoughts and comments? ------------------ |

Brian I agree 100%. I enjoy driving my Vette quite a bit. My Mustang Cobra is a riot to drive with 450+hp. But the Prowler takes the cake! Hands down the COOLEST car on the road! Now at the race track it's a different story..... but still is fun too. ------------------ |

This is a little bit out my league. While I was at a local Goodyear Tire Shop to get some info on the EMT, the owner saw my Kcat and showed me what was in the back of his shop: FERRARI F50
I didn't have my camera with me so I have to use this pic from the Ferrari website ------------------ This message has been edited by Howler Cat on 05-30-2002 at 12:05 AM |

I think a Lambo is the coolest car out there,,,,,but several hundred thousands above my budget Maybe Mike will give me a raise in 2003, and I'll have one? ------------------ |

I loooove Lambo's too Alley Cat. But I have to say the sexiest car I think I've ever seen is the new Porsche Carrera GT. I mean the expensive over 1/2 mil, laser turn signals, built in camcorder, super fast, Porsche Carrera GT. Not the GT 2 or any other Porsche. I also like Aston Martins. And the Jaguar XJ220 which is unobtainable right now. So many cars it's really hard to choose. From what I own I have to say the Prowler is by far the most beautiful car I've owned. But my Supra with over 450hp at the crank was a BLAST on the twisties and at the drag strip. I've always thought the Prowler lacked guts. |

The Model A Ford gets about as much attention as the Prowler - it is a 'driver' not a show car. I've owned it and driven it for 45 years. The GT-40 kit car got about as much attention as the Prowler, owned and drove it for 30 years, sold it in 1999. |

A Lambo is nice, but I was at a traffic light about 2 years ago next to a yellow Lambo Diablo and more people were checken out my car and giving me thumbs up then a Lambo. Diablo is a bit conservative looking compared to the Countach. I like Lambo's Personally, but the Mclaren F1 still takes the cake for exotics! Lets face it the Prowler is the coolest thing on the road today. The Prowler excites everyone from a 3 year old kids eyes light up like it was Christmas to senior citzens gawking over the beautiful retro design which reminds them of the good old days. There are a lot of nice cars out there like Porsche, Lambo, Ferrari, BMW, Mclaren, Bugatti, Bentley, Vettes but only certain types of people appreciate them... but the everyone seems interested in the Car. All ages, all races, both male and females appreciate the car. I am Proud to say I own one! ------------------ This message has been edited by spoons on 05-30-2002 at 07:26 AM |

Jag XJ220 never could sell all 350 cars they built. Very few people want to spend 1/2 million for a V6 exotic car. It is near 2-3 feet longer then most exotics and it is heavy. The 1997 Mclaren F1 is still the fastiest production car in the world. 0-60mph in 3.1 sec, Top speed 242 mph, With room for a driver + 2 passenger, 8 cubic feet cargo room (2 golf clubs), 630 HP BMW V12, 24k gold engine compartment and electronic aerodynamic system which sucks the car to the road. Makes it the worlds most practical exotic car in the world too. |

McLaren is definitely a great car. But don't think for a minute that a V6 is underpowered or a waste of a motor. I know Supras (3.0 liter v6) with over 800hp to the wheels on stock motor. The Jaguar XJ220 also does well over 200mph. I believe around 220. Has over 500 hp. A very nice car and very rare. I always laughed when people would say there's no replacement for displacement. And then show them my tailights in a V6. Heck I know 4 bangers that would embarrass most V8's. |

Good points, but what is it that truly makes the car more fun? It is the attention it draws in public. I contest who can name any other car whatever the cost that draws more attention at the gas station, mall parking lot, or whereever it may be;, which car gets the most questions, and which car that obtains the most " What kind of car is that" ? You would almost all have to agree it would be the KAT !!! ------------------ *99 Yellow *Borla Exhaust *Mud Flaps *Mac Cold Air *Yellow Windshield Banner "Prowler" *MGW Prowler Hitch Cover "COOL" *Logo Valve Stem Caps *Chrome Wheels Done Aftermarket *No Front Bumpers w/Tom Mills Bumper Covers *Removed Visors *Chrome License Plate Frame *Ceramic Brake Pads *Air Patrol *Painted Black Gloss Rear Bumpers *Shimmers Bumper Yellow & Clear Tail Lights *Flames *Multiple Coats ZAINO *Total Speaker Upgrade *New 4 Channel Amplifier *Handmade Front Suspension Brace * $8.99 Chrome Grille /NOT, Fell Off ! I agree there are many exotic cars out there, but most can't be touched by most of us, and they for the most part still don't have that unique look that the Kats give. Took mine to a classic drive in on Wednesday and had more attention then most. And from all ages. Love that "Orange" Only color to have don't you ALL agree. Be kind now with your comments. ------------------ |

I have had porches, vettes, amg benz's, z28(old school 72) and a host of inbetweeners, and NONE OF THEM COMES EVEN CLOSE to the Prowler. The closest is my PT which a gladly sold my last 2001 benz to empty a garage space for. If I had more space and a less practical wife and of course more cash! I would fill my neighborhood with every color of Prowler. They are the most awesome car I have ever had. ------------------ |
