I am up to an average of about 41,000 per Prowler with the extra stuff I have been accumulating. I am sure this will go up if they bring back the trailers. ------------------ |

Now I really feel like crapola. When I was looking to purchase my Kat in August 2000, I checked all over the US and could not find one for under $48,000 (not including taxes). Count in taxes, luxury tax(good ole FLA) & everything else I've done, I'm up to about $54,000. I'm feeling quite ill now - just bury me in it! ------------------ |

PB, Don't feel too bad -- when you count all the taxes, fees, etc. I'm pretty close to you - and I haven't done any mods yet. The big tickets for me, aside from the car itself, of course: * the trailer (and I get to wait, wait, wait :-) And I'm sure it's only going to go up from here... |

We're up to about 50K, and next fall we're in line for a Carlini Chrome front end. The balance sheet should include 120 hours of my sweat, excitement, cursing, effort, joy and whatever else you get when you do it yourself in your own way. Customizing--worth way more than stock. ------------------ |

New Orange Car - 38K Flaps, exhaust,Garment Bag, Car Cover, Trailer Cover - $1050 Trailer - $4325 For sure to purchase - MTD Intake, Trans Cover, Hitch, Wiring Harness, Shimmers, Weekender, Air Patrol, Hardtop, Trailer Stand, Bra for the car and the Trailer - $6500 While I feel I got a good price on the car, I also got into it late folks - You all have had fun with these cars for a few years, you've met the people who made the prowler, you toured the factory etc.... I would have gladly paid more to have had some of the experiences and great opportunities that many of you have had and shared on the board..... I just got into it too late. Nothing is worth the enjoyment you get and if it cost you extra to get in early, it was worth it in my opinion...... John |
