Hi, I am new to forum but have been keeping an eye on your site.I don't want to start up the center cap issue as you guy's are sick of hearing about it,but I need to get 4 chrome caps and have a contact that can supply at US$45. Is this roughly the going rate?I know about the breaking problems and how to avoid it. By the way I don't have a Prowler but have set of wheels for use on another project (hotrod).....I am in Sydney,Australia and unfortunately Prowlers are bringing AUS$150,000 around US$80,000 converted to right hand drive. We do have a PT cruiser though which is my wifes.....with a few modifications from me.....couldn't help myself....anyways bye for now.......Kroooozer ------------------ |

If anybody wants, I have them on my website's online catalog, www.theptking.com for the $45 price. That is just a few dollars over dealer cost. I have heard that rule which states all cars sold in Australia must be RHD. There was a story in our dealership's MOPAR magazine about a guy who spent $20,000 US to convert his 99 Viper over to work down there. Hope everybody has a good Memorial weekend. Thanks guy's,lets see if I remember the questions.....yeah it is right hand drive (you can just see the steering wheel) I have seen a Kat at a dealer where I hired a porsche once and it was a personal import and was for sale on consignment. He was originally asking around AUS$170,000 (approx US$90,000)geeeeeee's,and dropped it to $150,000.The dealer told me it cost him AUS$50,000 to convert it and selling it at that price he was losing. There is another importer who is selling them converted at $150,000 but was told to be careful because of the way they were shipped they may not comply with Aus design rules. If a car is more than 30 years old it doesn't have to be converted to right hand drive so if I buy one now and put it up on blocks I can drive it when I'm 70.....lol.The only way I'd get one is if it was already registered as we have some tough regulations here.Have been to the US twice and first time I saw one was 5 years ago when they were new and giving one away at Goodguy's event. There are rumours that we may be getting some of the new retro style cars from Chrysler in the future and Vipers are to be imported and converted at factory in Victoria I think. At the moment we settle for the Pt cruiser here and hope there are follow on models, convertable etc.....its good to see that car manufacturers are willing to take chances on going into production of their concept cars.Holden (GM)is a car manufaturer here and built a 2 door version of their top selling sedan with all high performance equipment and may be sold in US under Pontiac badging. Didn't realise I have been rambling on.......lol and final answer is..... I have a 1933 Ford roadster which I am using the wheels on.I bought them from e-bay a while back and some 20" tires to suit.Have a set of lights too....not sure if they will be used though because of the curve and bonnet is straight sided.........catch ya's ------------------ This message has been edited by Kroooozer on 05-26-2002 at 04:13 AM |

Are you the person who asked about shipping to Aus? I never did hear what postal code you wanted me to ship to figure the costs in doing so. Prowler Orange Plymouth |

Genuine MOPAR new in the bag. If you would like the part number I will have to get it tomorrow as I am at home relaxing today. Man what a beautiful three-day weekend here in the Pacific Northwest. Couldn't ask for better weather. Prowler Orange Plymouth |
