Has anyone seen the cover of the latest Autoweek? A Ferrari that looks like a Prowler cousin except - V12, 6 speed, ostrich interior, wood wheel, etc.... I hate to say I would sell my Prowler to buy it. Of course it cost the guy seven figures! Marty ------------------ Driving my Dream |

If this is the Ferrari you're talking about it doesn't look like a cousin to me. |

NO NO NO - that was from last week or two weeks ago. I don't scanner at home and did not bring issue with me to office this morning. I will scan Monday and post if someone else does not. Come on guys, give me some credit - you don't really think I would believe the car Al posted looks like a KAT or that I would want to drive somethning like that, do you? ------------------ Driving my Dream |

Marty, I agree with you. The cover car and the article are awesome and so unique in today's car world. (Just got my Autoweek yesterday and had to look inside immediately after seeing that car - has some looks like our Prowlers I think.) |

Lots of British and European cars over the years have had that kind of look, doesn't even come close to the Prowler looks to me... if I wanted HP and Pedigree that badly... I would of skipped Prowler's completely and gone straight to a Lambo. ------------------ |

Todd, I don' think any of us chose our Prowler primarily for HP or pedigree. It's just nice to admire other custom works especially when they are big bucks and are compared to our own Prowlers. By the way, is there a difference between British and European? |

Hey its looks good, bottom line I;m very lucky to have a Prowler... I really dont care if I go 150-175 mph, I go at best maybe up to 80 mph at different times. Thats plenty for me and I wouldnt or even have the $$$ for a roadster like that. This message has been edited by topcat on 05-27-2002 at 12:02 AM |

Rich, actually, especially historically wise, there is a big difference in styling between European "works" and British, and not just in auto's and motorcycles. ------------------ |

Todd - I'll agree with you. Euro quality - good or above British quality - below average JMO |

I agree with Todd's comment about style differences, but I can't go along with quality statement. I wouldn't say Rolls and Bentley are below average quality and I certainly wouldn't say that Fiat and Renault are above average. In fact, of all the cars I've owned, the Italian and French cars are by far the worst in quality - and that includes some very expensive models. The British cars are not great on quality on the whole either. I would say it's the German cars that are above average quality. So there. |

Rich - seems you are directing your post towards my opinion? I'm relating to automated, assembly line production autos,,,,,,, not hand built, one at a time, production line autos. I'll agree on Italy and French automated cars,,,,junk! Ed and I personally endorse the Yugo,,,,so there |

quote: AC & Ed - you'll be glad to know Malcomb Bricklin (yes, the same guy who named his gull-wing coupe after himself back in the 70's AND brought the original Yugos into town) is trying once again to secure the import rights to the Yugo again. A new factory and three body styles, if I remember correctly. They should be priced like the Kia and Hyundai cars - probably cheaper! Good Ol' Malcomb! Remember, he also tried to advance the "Road Warrior" electric bicycles in the 80's and brought the early Subaru's to our shores in the 60's! ------------------ |

It looks like Marty found a buyer for his spare set of Headlight. Not bad looking at all, but still like my cat. Helga finally drove the Kat yesterday and I think I've got her hooked on it, Now were looking toward the cruise in PA, I heard someone was going to try and put together. ------------------ |
