According to our facts and stats, there are 1,000 or less Kats still in showrooms. The least expensive used one I've seen was about $31,000. New is somewhere over $40,000. ------------------ |

Can't address the "how many question", but we just bought a new 2K1 Mullholland for $37K even. Never titled with 91 miles. For what that's worth. ------------------ |

gmchapin, Was there a trade in the deal? I know sometimes the price can look better if they give you bare bones for the trade and put the extra (what little there is) off the new car price. I know I pitted two dealers here in Indiana against each other as they both had untitled Mulhollands, but the best I could come up with was $42k. Not saying you couldn’t get a better deal than me, I’m just confused why they would sell that far below invoice. I mean they already sat on it this long. Is it just in particular parts of the country. I know Edmunds.com is still showing the price as having a markup. Of course that may be the Candy Apple ones that are still out. Several have reported those as at a premium. Just curious. |

My brother, Scum Ball the Wealthy One, sold a yellow 2002 for $38,500 and a Candy Red for $39,750. He got a big rebate on the 2001's so he sold those at $36,200. All were new, less than 10 miles and never before titled. Now Scum Ball is as low to the ground as they come, and I certainly would not buy a car from him (bought mine in San Diego) but he just wants to move them and is careful not to charge too much because he wants to keep customers. LA is a strange market. He acutally sold PT cruisers at sticker and below from the begining. Scot ------------------ This message has been edited by Scot Stern on 05-12-2002 at 10:00 PM |

The dealer thought it would look better at the Sonic Drive-In rather than sittin’ in the showroom. Now if it would just quit raining out here in the Illinois cornfields we could go cruise! |

Bought my red 99' for 30K in August with 1500 miles. Perfect condition. Looking for more. Anyone see an 00' or 01' for under 31K let me know. No silver please. ------------------ |

Whealy, No trade in on the cat. Clean purchace for cash (so far as he was concerned). I'd like to think we got a good deal. I think we just were in the right place at the right time and the dealer really wanted to get rid of it. A tip from SCAT told me that the guy had tried to sell it at wholesale auction the day prior with no luck. Thanks SCAT! My Weather Chick says the rain will clear up this weekend so we should be able to go Prowl'n! ------------------ |
