Never been on cruise before, am assuming casual is correct but should we bring (1) coat & tie and fancy dress for the ladies. A lady does not want to be caught without the right apparel. Come on CJ what is the right scoop?? ------------------ |

Steven, You haven't been reading the posts lately have you? Fixumm is bring his "big guns", so I guess CJ is bringing the ruler - you know -for pee pee wacking) OUCH! LynnPT2001 is sportin' some new flames - on the car - not what you where thinking - but stay upwind just in case! VCD is going formal with the black tie. I'm wearing my heart on my sleeve - it's been almost a year since I've seen Ed Monahan - I know I'm goin'a get misty. ------------------ |

It is severely casual. Shorts if it is warm. Flip flops if you are with GaryC. I don't think outlandish hats are acceptable except DURING the KY. Derby, not two weeks later. MeanGene, I am just glad you said misty, and not nauseous. ------------------ |

If you want to keep up with CNOTE and GARYC, a THONG and sunglasses will do. ------------------ |

These events are always casual!! Depending on the weather...for the ladies....jeans, shorts, slacks, t-shirts, tops, whatever you want!! I would recommend bringing a light jacket or sweater or sweatshirt just in case! Another note: Anyone who has radios should bring them also. Sunscreen and sunglasses are a must. Chairs if you have them! Other than that......a big smile will do!! |

I always wear the best clothes I own for a cruise. Jeans, Nascar Kyle Petty t-shirt and hat. That's as dressed up as I get. Of course extra protective sunglasses are a must if MeanGene or Ed Monahan decide to wear shorts. They are both as terminally white as I am and the glare off those legs could be deadly! ------------------ |

Rich, I heard about that sort of stuff in the South, but never got anybody to admit to it - until now. Which side of the family did the Prowler come from - "you bein' related an all"? Bill, I knew you would pop up sooner or later - I was hope for the latter. Welcome back ! This message has been edited by MeanGene on 05-10-2002 at 07:07 AM |

Well ladies and gentlemen and I NOW use that term loosly, I think I know what I'm getting into. Should be a blast. But I think now, I'll pack that extra pair of sunglasses, just for MeanGean, Sounds like I need to bring a Black light , to show up all those pasty white legs and make them look neon!! Yuck! Yuck! ------------------ |

Ed - me either - This abuse about your chicken legs has gone too far! Ed, if you remember this is from a walking NASCAR advertisement - he even told me he has burnout marks on his underwear, or something that resembled them! Just so that you know, Bill, I had my legs pearled coated over the winter- not white. Steven, about the apparel, the nose ring is optional for her leading you around the event! ------------------ |

Clothes are probably a good idea, but your Kat must be super clean and shiny. They will be focused on your car and may not even notice you. As Donna quoted from a 60's song, (neither of us can remember whose) "It doesn't matter what you wear just as long as you are there." ------------------ |

Donna reminded my about Ed's fairy outfit he wore in the Deadwood July 4th parade. There are lots of witnesses. ------------------ |

That is the trouble with women, they remember too much (and usually never let you forget it) lol. I promise never to wear that same outfit. ------------------ |

Todd, BOUGHT?? Bought? as in store bought? I don't think so. I wear only ORIGINALS, never to be duplicated. I take a lot of pride in my appearance, thank you very much. ------------------ |
