Fixumm, CJ, and Steven I would love to get us all together somehow and drive to Louisville together. I had planned on leaving Friday morning hoping to arrive between 3:00 and 4:00 so I would have plenty of time to relax and meet all the new folks. Mapquest says the hotel is approx. 5 1/2 hrs. from my location. That means I need to leave between 9:00 and 10:00. I am flexible though (no gymnast jokes please. ), so let's see if we can make it work. Anyone else interested? Hotrod... ------------------ |

PLease remember you all are on Central Time, Louisville is on Eastern. You lose an hour on the way here, gain an hour on your trip home. ------------------ Driving my Dream |

Joe Ellsasser and his wife are driving down with Bob and I. If anyone else from MI wants to join up with us, please email me. Larry Mayes, do you want to join us? We can all meet up somewhere in Indy and drive the rest of the way together. Let me know, so I can try to work out a schedule of when we need to leave MI. Anyone else in your areas are welcome to meet up with us in Indy, also! Thanks! |

No offense guys, but this was a post to the three folks I originally mentioned. I just got on the site, looked at the # of responses, and I'm thinking it's people contacting me back. Instead I find other folks are posting making their own plans, which have nothing to do with me or my post. Again, no offense. I know it was unintentional. Meet you all in Louisville! Hot Rod you will find out that once you start a post it can go anywhere. You have everyone thinking about getting ther and how to hook up with the most people. It is a real site to see groups of Prowlers traveling together CJ, My plan is to go down Saturday Morning. By the time Sue gets off work it would be later than I would like to leave on Friday night so I will meet everyone at the track on saturday morning......EVERYONE HAVE A SAFE TRIP THERE ------------------ |

Hi John! My post to Kat-a-van was a response to a post in another thread from Fixumm. I didn't want to take that thread in another direction, or make it any longer than it already was, so I started this one. But that's just me... It appears that the title of my post was misleading, because when I read the replies, they were talking about what the Cincy folks were going to do. It just wasn't what I expected. I think it would be great to get as many of us together as possible along the way. It would be a logistics nightmare, but the more the merrier. Here's a suggestion...we decide on a time and have as many of us as possible meet somewhere in Indianapolis. Each of us can make our own arrangements to meet up with others closer to us for the ride to Indy. Hotrod...

Hot-Rod: It really isn't a logistics nightmare at all. We had 14 or 15 in the kat-a-van to Crazy Horse last year. Half the fun was getting there. You just pick points to meet up and it takes on a life of its own from there. ------------------ This message has been edited by Dave Mills on 04-28-2002 at 11:37 AM |

Hot-Rod, No problem...... I understand. Looking forward to meeting all of you. Dave is correct, for those that want to, a caravan isn't that tough. Pick a place and meet at the designated time and go from there. I am still working on Friday evening. My 17 year old is an excellent runner and he has the GCL meet in Cincy that evening. I may just have to miss it this time....... I know I have all Day Saturday open and Sunday I may have to be home as well. Indian Princess Bike Ride with my 5th grader. Her last one.... But come hell or high water I'll make it to KY. It's too close not to.

fixumm.......okay, here's your chance to refute facts... You've just been voted the person to arrange a meeting place and the time based on everyone's starting locations, driving times and departure times. It's all yours! |

Just remember that those of us in Michigan don't want to have to leave at 4:00 a.m. or some such time to make it to your selected location. |
