Maybe a stupid question, but can anyone go to the auction? I'd like to be there, even though I can't compete with the cash flow of the ones that will be bidding. If anyone knows how to get in the gate, we should have a line of Prowlers there - in the parking lot. Any input???

I deal with Christies all the time due to my business -Art.

Their seating it limited, you may have to reserve with catalog. Sometime they have a seating drawing from all the request. You will get a notice just prior if you are chosen.

These are usually filled to capacity.

Very disappointing news! Now, if only someone would just buy it at the auction and then raffle it off with proceeds going to their favorite charity...one can only dream.

Marty, why don't all of us bring $5000 cash and pool our money, buy the car and then have a raffle amongst the 30 or 40 of us?

Sassy is right. I wrote an Email to Christies last night, and have already received a response, which included a preliminary copy of the letter being sent out to ALL Prowler owners from DC. We have to order a catalog and reserve a seat. I will post a copy of this tonight when I get home. The car, trailer & a time capsule of Prowler memorabilia is included.

All proceeds for this auction item are ironically going to Multiple Sclerosis (MS), which I have ironically been diagnosed as having (one year after purchasing SPCL-T). Wish I could have the last Prowler too.

Ed - Tell you what - You can head the sub committee for that. I am busy with pies, bats and finding larger name badge stock.

I feel a little insulted that D-C did not offer a raffle to the Prowler Owners. After all without us the car would be nothing. I guess we are not "good enough" to deserve the Last Cat. I believe it was the least they could since they do not support us as owners or a club AT ALL!

my 2 cents

I feel the same I wish it would have been a raffle that we all could have at least had the option of buying a ticket.

Mike you got to get a good look at the blue one I'm sure as you watched and helped with yours could you really tell that the frame had been anodized? did it show that much.

Well, I guess this is a case of Koz-I-cant. I am really bummed. Even if it was raffled, unless the ticket prices were reasonable, there would still be a limit to my purchasing means. But I could have at least bought one. And that is all it takes, just 1 to win...... And why even send a letter? I probably wont get one of those either being I bought my car 2nd hand. This BITES!

Koz-I-Can,

You can have a copy of mine if I get one (Just called DC to make sure they have my new address). I'll even doctor the letter so it has your name on it. I know it doesn't help the sadness we're all feeling though...

Wished there had been a raffle but at least the benefits will go to a worthy cause. I only hope that some rich guy doesn't buy it just to story it with his other collection of cars and never realizes how "Great" the car really is. My guess is that it will go between $125k-135k. Some people can afford the markup just to say "They Can". Car sure looks great though. Although my "Orange Cat" always puts a smile on my face when we are together. Catch you all at Churchill Down's on May 18.

Yeah, I wish I could have the last one also, BUT look on the bright side, at least WE have a Prowler so we are a lot better off than most others. Cheer up, it could be a whole lot worse. Go take your cat for a ride and be happy.

It's funny you mentioned that as I have been thinking about buying another and painting it this color. My girlfriend likes the color so much she is thinking about painting her Miata Prowler Electric Blue.
