Dean, I understand the steering wheel on the wrong side, or in this case the RIGHT side, but shouldn't the picture be upside down, also? ------------------ |

Dean - You think the fuel turns counter-clockwise in the combustion chamber? Don't think I could ever get use to driving on the right side. Are all of the mailmen from Australia? ------------------ AlleyCat Productions, Inc |

This is a good way to get around having to look at the worn drivers seats, just move the wheel over to the other side every 6mths. Kind of hard to get used to seeing a wheel on the right side but a nice clean looking job I wonder if all the dash parts are made for export or jobber done down under?? PK |

The worse things about driving a right hand drive car in Australia (other than constantly turning on the windshield wipers when you are reaching for the turn signal)are getting use to driving past parked cars on the left side of the streets and you have to think about turning at intersections because the near lane of rraiffic is cooming from your right instead of your left. Same thing when crossing a street on foot. Dean - at first you were joking and had just reversed a photo, but upon a closer look I see the parking brake is still on right side of console and center radio and heat/AC comtrols are not flipped. That must have been one whale of an engineering project. ------------------ Driving my Dream This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 04-24-2002 at 06:47 AM |

I have read that no car can be registered unless it is right hand drive. the article I was reading was about a guy that converts cars and had some `70 MOPAR muscle cars that had been done. they also have to have amber turn signals in the rear. Would like to see the back of the car too. ------------------ |

Marty, I was in Sydney and saw a Jaguar coming down the street with the driver reading the paper, fully opened. Then I realized it was the passenger. Here we always look to the left before stepping off the curb, over there you could be history. ------------------ |

I sold a 2000 Yelo Prowler last year that went to Australia...was told the shipping and conversion cost was nearly as much as the price of the car...NOT CHEAP !!! ------------------ |
