I called and talked to the service manager twice about when my rims where coming in. He ordered them for me on April 4th. Both times I talked to him, he said, he would look into it and call me right back. Both times, he never got back to me. Finally on April 18th, I drove over to the dealer and asked the parts manager myself. The parts manager told me that he had the rims and they had been at the dealer since April 8th! They had been there for 10days and they never called me. Today they sent my car over to a indepentant tire store for replacement. I had three of my four rims replaced. Ready for this....ALL THREE CENTER CAPS CAME BACK BROKEN. IMPORTANT: If you ever have your tires or rims worked on, take off your caps and leave them at home. New caps where ordered today and I should be back in good shape in about a week.

Maybe in the future, we can find a company that would PERMANENTLY fix these caps. Until then, we are going to have to watch people.

fd911medic if you know Larry Lord tell him the dealer that replaced your rims. We are collecting them and old tires so we have some spares when we travel to events. If you don't know Larry Email me and I provide you his information.
Thanks

Get some Tongue Depressors, and use them when you remove the Center Caps. The soft wood will be gentle on the Caps, and not "mark" the edges of them. Also they will be a soft / flexible tool, to assist in "gently" removing the Caps. Just an FYI that I was told.

I wrap black tape several times around a thick screw drive and, instead of twisting (bad idea) I pull gently all at once and they come off without breaking or damage.

Just buy the tool that was designed to take these things off ... it was brought up a long time ago. Screw drivers with tape is the worst thing you can use, well, aside from a soldering iron tip maybe ... right tool for right job usually yields right results ... old lesson learned hard.
