It hit 84 degrees here in Motor City today. Couldn't wait for the birthday boy to get home so we could go cruisin'!!! Headed for Woodward Avenue and cruised for a few hours, stopping for some dinner. We stopped in at the dealership to say hello to Joe Ellsasser! Spent the next hour or so swapping Prowler stories. I've been trying to talk him into coming to Colorado, so we told him some of the great stories from some of the other events....like the One and Only Elvis.....Dan P, the escapades out at Deadwood and a few others. We had some great laughs! He said they'd like to go, but it hits the last week of school for their kids. I think they might have relatives who would watch the kids. I told him to heck with the last week. Having worked as a teacher's aide in Colorado for a number of years, I can tell you that 1. the kids don't care if they are there the last week, unless you are a senior that's graduating. 2. They don't DO anything the last week anyway! He was laughing, but said he'd think about it.

I know that a lot of you like to give those of us who live in winter climate areas a bad time about where we live and not being able to drive our cats. But I have to tell you that after having a few days of 70/80 degree weather and driving that cat around top down, it sure does make you appreciate it more when we do get to drive it again!! Maybe a lot of you take yours for granted! Try being without it for a period of time!

It was a gorgeous evening. Temps are still 72 right now at 1:00 a.m. here! Clear night, stars out, just a sliver of a moon, my hubby next to me in the Candy Cat......doesn't get much better than this!!

Glad you had a great night in the Kat. It drizzled all day today and is very chilly right now, at least for us. Never saw 70 today.

School is our problem with Colorado also, your right about them not doing anything that week, gives me something to think about.

When we were in Utah earlier this year, I fell in love with the vast expanses of land and beautiful landscapes. I asked my husband when we could move and he said it would probably take a couple of phone calls, but do I want to have to store the Kat for the winter. That was it...I changed my mind.

I don't take the weather or the Kat for granted, but I definitely feel priviledged to have them both. I could not watch the car sit in the garage all winter, I would be so depressed.

I don't know how you people do it, you all must be very patient people. My hat is off to all of you.

I lived in Utah for 13 years. Moved to Georgia to escape the very long, cold winters and the tons of snow that comes with it. One morning in Utah the temperature was 25 below. That was the lowest I experienced. I had a car totaled in a snow storm in April another year. I get to cruise year round
in Georgia. (not trying to rub it in CJ)
