Has anyone read the marketing piece about the Mini Cooper that has inserted in AutoWeek, MotorTrend, and other magazines? I really think it applies to the Prowler. Not enough space and don't want to bore you too much, but here are a few lines:
Let's forget everything about driving.
Let's start over....
Let's evolve.
Let's MOTOR.
How is motoring different from driving? Physically they are the same process....the difference is in the mind of the operator....When you drive, you go from A to B. When you MOTOR, you go from A to Z.... Nobody knows when you are motoring. You just know.

Motoring is about mileage. City miles. Highway miles. So don't be afraid of a seasoned odometer, consider it an experience-o-meter. Its says you've been places... It's a scrapbook bursting at the seams. When you see other "Prowler" owners try not to rub it in if you have more miles than they do... maybe they've been busy working.

Regarding nicks & dings the piece goes on: "...you'll probably get them fixed... but take solace that they represent a life experience. As with scars, feel free to embellish on how a nick came to be...

Let's break routines...

It goes on..."Let's mess with perfection. paint it... fuzzy dice it....dashboard figurine it...stripe it...
do nothing, do whatever.

All you need is a motoring spirit, so.....let's motor.

This is exactly how the Prolwer makes me feel!!

Happy "Prowler" Motoring

Great food for thought Marty. I just spent several years restoring a 1970 Dodge Challenger TA. I showed it a lot last year, and won a lot of trophies.

But one thing I learned is that most of the folks restoring and showing their cars (including me) were extremely concerned about putting miles on them. That's because you want the restoration to last as long as possible.

I traded the Challenger for the Prowler. I hope to change my attitude about driving from home to a car show (A to B), to driving the kat around the country (A to Z).

Happy "Prowler" motoring to you too!

Hot rod - I can understand the feeling with a restored car and certainly appreciate that other feel like the KAT is a "special" vehicle to be saved for "special" occasions. That is the great thing about the Prowlers and the POA. Lots of people do and drive their cars in different ways and respect the rights of others to do likewise.

Maybe it has been the last several days of 70+ weather and driving with the top down. Whatever, when that that marketing piece it made me think that that is the way the Prowler makes me feel - "like motoring"

I never get enough motoring - it's my therapy, I guess that's why I drive it everyday. It's cheaper than a therapist, too. Well maybe if I stop doing any more modifications.

Hey Hot Rod,

I had a '70 1/2 Dodge Challenger T/A also. It was B5 blue with a black vinyl top, black bucket seat interior with console and Torqueflite on the floor. I sold it in the summer of 1980 for $6500. It looks like that car would be worth in the neighborhood of $35 to 40 grand based on today's prices. Oh well, who knew? My wife and I courted in that car. In fact, it was our trip out west to deliver the car to the new owner that "sealed the deal". I figured that if she could stand me for ten days in a car on a "road trip", she must be a good girl. We've been married for almost 22 years. Pretty good decision I would say...the marriage that is, not the selling of the car. (LOL)

That's a great story Mike! Mine was Plum Crazy (purple). I restored that car from the ground up. It was very challenging, but very rewarding. Those old muscle cars are a great hobby.
