So I take Steve Clark's advice -call Nelson Auto group in OH and make an appointment to see Randy - two Candy Reds and a yellow. "Shelley, why don't you come take the drive with me, you'll get to see the new red and a yellow. What do you think ?" So she reluctantly agrees to go with me. Red is Gorgeous. So is Yellow. But she see's a loaded, brand new 2001 Grand Caravan marked down a whopping $7500. Long Story, but we buy the Van (her Town & Country has 100K on it.) We go to buy me a Prowler, we buy her a van. So while the paperwork is being taken care of and they run credit on me, Randy let's us take out a New Red one. I'm in Love.... She's in love..... we drive it on the Highway. She's grinning. "Cool Car ? "Really Cool Car" she replies. I agree to sell my Lincoln and drive her old Van if she'll let me buy a Prowler........ She agrees. (yes, she wears the pants in the family) A 100K Chrysler Town and Country doesn't sound so bad. Found another new orange for the right price today..... guy called me from PA. Guess I'll have to go look at it Monday. Anyone need a Mark VIII in Excellent condition ? John |

John, I am confused (but that is not really shocking), do you want Candy Red, Yellow or Orange. I know you want at least one, which do you prefer. I hope your wife cherishes you as one in a million. lol ------------------ |

Steve, Your absolutely correct....... can you say "possessed" ? Ed, don't know which color I like best. Can't decide. I would be very happy to own any of them. Can't believe I am even thinking about getting one. With five kids it doesn't make sense. Wife said what someone on the board said after riding in the Candy Red - "just get any color, they are all cool." So we will see. I am still thinking I like the orange for two reasons. I haven't seen one running around in these parts yet, and I have located a few of the 2001's that are still new at reasonable prices. One sold Friday so I missed it. Found another yesterday. I really would be happy with any color. They are all beautiful. I dreamed of owning one of these cars 8 years ago. Told my wife I would. When the first one came to Dayton I took the kids to see it. It was stantioned off, couldn't touch it. Salesman said it was $80,000. There went the dream. I can swing 30-40 now. having fun even dreaming. I'll have one within a month...... John |

Steve, New - was looking in the 37/38K range. Used, depending on condition, extra's etc, 32/38K range. Have seen a few with trailers that looked like excellent deals. Considering things like Warranty, extras, etc. Like everyone else, looking for the nicest car at the best price. John |

John......which ever one you buy will make you happy! You can't go wrong with any of them. Having 5 kids is the best excuse in the world for buying one.......You'll have an excuse for just you and your wife to get away without them once in a while!!! |
