I have a friend up in the Chicago area that has purchased a car on Ebay, not a Prowler though (35th Anniversay Coupe Camaro 6 spd low miles), and needs to get it from North Carolina to Chicago. I know a good many people have used a transport service to get their Kats home from far away places. Who did you use, where did the car go from and to and what was the amount it cost you. Those of you that have gone this route, I would appreciate your timely responses so I can advise my friend accordingly. Thanks~~! |

Just used Exotic Car Transport and they couldn't have provided better service - simply outstanding. They picked up my Kat from New Jersey on Saturday and delivered it to Florida this morning. Total cost was $875. Make sure you specify enclosed truck and full insurance. |

There are several websites ( like http://www.aaamove.com ) that will submit your moving job to several companies for bid. I recently submitted a job for a bid and the lowest bidder was: http://www.southerlandtranscar.com . I haven't used anyone yet, so I can't speak for quality of service. ------------------ |

That's it?? All the people that have purchased cars and had to have them shipped and only 2 responses? Not trying to win a shirt or hat here, but I would like to steer a friend the "RIGHT" way ... thanks to those two that have replied, and come on to those that haven't. |

NOT worth the risk. Use Exotic Car Transport. http://www.exoticcartransport.com Most transport companies DO NOT FULL INSURE there cargo. Only the first $250 they expect your insurance to cover the rest. go with exotic fully insured and reasonably priced too. ------------------ |

Brian ... Thanks for the reply and the vote of confidence. I recall seeing numerous posts on transport experiences, some good and some bad, and am just trying to expidite the decision for my friend so when he returns from over seas he can move forward with his purchase and arrangements. Anyone else with a recommendation from a past experience? Thanks, Brian. |
