I know Ed and others have been discussing a trailer other than the Prowler Trailer that Mopar has...Well we went to the Boat, Sport & Travel Show in Indy today and they have Quicksilver TearDrop trailers that are light weight and would look great behind the Prowler, and in your case ED your Goldwing too. Pup trailer starting at $1,900 If I didn't have my trailer I would think hard about which one to buy... Check it out @ http://www.quicksilverohio.com/ ------------------ |

If they are the classic teardrop trailer, they would indeed look fine! But, the teardrops were camping trailers, not cargo haulers. Most of the old ones are worth big bucks now. ------------------ |

Wayne, I am just glad Andy is busy on the week-ends and did not get to it first. Sandy said you are now in the doghouse. lol Larry, The jury is still out on that trailer. Sandy says no, and I am not sure, yet. I need to see it in person, probably. ------------------ This message has been edited by ed monahan on 02-24-2002 at 01:12 AM |

Ed, He is only an hour or so from you. Give him a call and go take a look. I really liked it. No they are not the camper trailer from the `40's and `50's, and yes they can be a cargo or camper trailer. The really small PUP model like shown in the photo is not big enough to camp in except for fido, but the lazy bum and the next larger size could be used as camper....They are replica Tear Drop Trailers scaled to pull behind motorcycles and small cars...the largest model is for cars only ------------------ |

Mr. Ed, if Sandi says no, I'll gladly take her place in the Prowler or behind you on the bike!!! Keep me in mind. ------------------ |

Thanks for the clarification Wildcat - I didn't think they made the classic teardrop anymore. I know there is a teardrop camping club in Califoria and I have seen one or two in car shows. I saw one for sale at an RV dealer in Yuma several years ago. If I remember correctly, they wanted something like $20,000 for it! ------------------ |

For those of you wondering what we are talking about, Here one is! Don't let the picture deceive you, these trailers are really little. The top picture shows the size best. The second picture has a perspective thingie making it look much larger than it is. ------------------ This message has been edited by sunbird on 02-24-2002 at 10:46 PM |
