I know the topic was discussed several times last summer about the U Haul Sport trailer and someone said they were going to rent one. I can't remember who said it. Did you rent one? How did it work out? I don't see any of the trailers on the U Haul lots. I saw a lot of them last summer but none are to be seen now. Were they recalled? Discontinued? Anyone have any info? ------------------ |

Ed - they are out there, I've seen several. I'm waiting for you to rent and use you and give us the report. I'm interested also. I have to haul 80 rolls of chrome door edge guard molding to Colorado to sell ------------------ |

On the bottom of the page that shows the UHaul trailer it states they are $ 20 a day. When I called the local outlet I talked to a young girl and she told me $ 10 a day but I don't think she knew what I was talking about. I went to three of the larger dealers locally and did not see a Sport trailer in the lots. They may store them inside to keep Prowler owners away from them. Andy R did every color in photo shop and I will bring that thread to the top since I do not know how to click and drag or whatever it is called. They are not for sale, according to numerous people. I thought they had been recalled and could possibly be available by now. I also thought we might get the manufacturer's name off of the trailer and see about a groupl purchase. Maybe I will be a Prowler People distributor for them. ------------------ |

Ed - I have seen them at U Haul Dealers here in Louisville. I will call or stop by one to see what they chrage here. I asked last year about buying one or who made them and was told they are not for sale and manufactured exclusively for U-Haul. Marty ------------------ Driving my Dream |

Thanks Marty. I think the name is on the tongue but I can't remember. It seems I saw it last year. I was going to see if they have a website and if they make a similar trailer for sale. When I didn't see one locally I thought maybe they had been pulled. I know it has been posted that they are not for sale but sometimes circumstances change things. ------------------ |

Hey Ed If you can't find a trailer you can UPS some baggage to Alex or me if you want and we'll get it to the hotel, then ship it back when you leave. |

Marc, thank you. We originally planned on UPS ing them to the hotel and then home. I will let you know if we need to take you up on the offer. I was thinking about bringing my golf clubs if we are going to go to our friends over in Tabernash for awhile. ------------------ |

Hey Ed Haven't been to Tabernash in a few years. Don't know about the golf courses in the area but I do know where there used to be a few good fishing holes. I think we'll be driving through there on Friday heading up Trail Ridge Road. ------------------ |

Marc, they live on a golf course. We went there last year after Deadwood and played every evening. I used his wife's clubs (which is about the way I played, too). I think it is actually just outside Tabernash, toward the Granby & the park. There is a huge YMCA camp real close by. The houses are all less than 3 years old but I don't know how long the course has been there. It is a very nice course and they have 27 holes. If I bring my own clubs I won't have a good excuse, that is the only down side. ------------------ |

I made about 10 phone calls today and then started all over at corporate Hdqtr. and they sent me to regional Hdqtr. and they have a trailer just south of Dayton. Only one in SW Ohio or N Ky. 50 miles away. They told me $ 20 a day or $100 a week. They sometimes have 4 or 5 in the area. You can't really reserve it, either but they will get you a similar size trailer. This could be real challenging. Next time someone sees one on a lot, please get the name off the tongue. ------------------ |
