Hi,I'm new here. I need some info on the 2002 Prowler. I won it at a Casino near my house. I take delivery of it next Saturday. Should I hold on to it? Sadly, I know nothing about the car other than it looks good. |

Congrats and Welcome, Definitely hold on to it. Its an amazing car. You'll love the response you get from others while driving it. And stick around the website you'll learn a lot. First off, buy the splash guards for the front fenders. They'll save you a lot of grief from paint chips caused by road debris. Second get the Ceramic Brake Pads. So you won't have to clean you wheels every other day. Regards, ------------------ This message has been edited by ProwlerOrange2001 on 02-14-2002 at 12:07 PM |

Memz, Boy...that's a tough one! Welcome, anyway. If you decide to keep it ( I hope so), it will be the ride off your life. Like most thing in life they won't be making anymore of these. The current realistic market ranges from low 30's to mid 40's, depending on mileage, etc - check www.kbb.com. If you're not in too deep ($$$) with the casino, you could make a profit and run, with the memory, 5-10 years from now, that you owned one of these. Enjoy what God, luck, whatever has provided you, tommorrow might not come! ------------------ This message has been edited by MeanGene on 02-14-2002 at 12:08 PM |

I won on a nickel slot machine. It's gold and sure looks pretty. I have not gotten to drive it yet, I don't know how to drive a manual drive car, I understand it's a manumatic, are they hard to drive? |

It works like an automatic. Don't worry about it. Its easy to learn the manual aspect of it if you want to. ------------------ |

Memz -- I think you should sell it... to me... for $20K. I mean, you were gambling for the cash anyway, not a car. I'll take that big bulky thing off your hands. -- Tarzan ------------------ |

I'm thinkin about keepin it I was gonna buy a Vette this summer anyway, so, as I learn more about my little Gold Prowler, the more I want to drive her. Do guys like to see women in hot rods? |

KEEP THE PROWLER - Way more fun and more attention than a Vette!! Check back on the website often - lots of great information (and people) If you can, try to attend one of the events listed in the events section. You are about halfway in between a Weekend in May in Louisville and a F/5 Day Cruise in the Colorado in June. Wait until you see all the attention you get in this car - you will love it!! If you won it in a casino, quit gambling and hang on to it. You are about as lucky as anyone can get. The Prowler is going to become a legend. Every production run of a specialty car in the past is a safe bet on value if you just wait. You'd think a lot of them would be taken care of by their first owners, but a surprizing percentage get destroyed over the years. Like Shelby Mustangs--they weren't all that expensive when produced, but there are so few around they're now worth a bundle. ------------------ |

However, you'd better be ready for A LOT of attention when you drive this car, whether you are female or not! It's a people magnet!! An attention getter!! I'm a woman and I own two of them!! A '99 Black and an '02 Candy Red that I just picked up!! Totally awesome car! Oh, and......its a piece of cake to drive!!! |

Memz You are going to love your gold!! It is the only Prowler that changes its color with variations in light. There were only about 600 gold Prowlers made. ------------------ |

Memz -- My Kat is Burnt Orange, and I'll argue that Inca Gold is the ONLY color that changes hue with variations in the light. But I sure like the color of Inca Gold, and if I were to by another one it would be Inca Gold... So if you're still looking to sell that big ol' thing... ------------------ |
